  • Yes he broke the record, but also yes, he accomplished absolutely nothing other than breaking the record….. both can be true

Strom Thurmond held the previous record for attempting to block civil rights legislation

Cory Booker broke his record for no reason other than to break the record, commendable I suppose but he accomplished nothing…. I don’t even think he was trying to accomplish anything other than to break the record

Edit: I’m glad the record is broken and that we can move Thurmond racist piece of trash strom to the sidelines

  • For a number to be truly random (assuming positive integers) wouldn’t it have to be anywhere between 1 and infinity? What good is a 20 million digit long integer? Or a 103 billion digit long integer?

What I mean is, is it possible to even have a truly random number within a set of rules, say 1-100?

I guess I already gave a rule by saying positive integers, I don’t know this is crazy!

But have you ever come up with a random number on weeeeeeeeed, mannnnn

  • It happens more than you think. When I was in my early 20’s I was a traveling hippy and my driver’s license expired. I didn’t have the 25$ to get a new license in the state I moved to, I literally had zero dollars lol.

I found a local nonprofit justice center that paid the 20$ I needed.

Without that ID I couldn’t get a job or pay any bills or do much of anything. Transitioning from being a poor vegan hobbler (basically a homeless person, but I was in my early 20’s) to a person with an apartment and job and everything else needed for that was one of the most difficult and tedious things I’ve ever done.

For folks with less mental faculties, poor families just getting by, etc I can absolutely see how fulfilling these proposed restrictions on voting would be difficult to impossible.
