That was hilarious to see, and the player was good. He went into defensive mode on the second round on the first game, and in the second game he went into faking attacks to trigger reactions and punish when responding wrong. Loved it haha
Right, so basically things that decent skills would also get you?
Also, if you feel being aggressive doesnt help you, you start playing defensively and thats when you can strike back. Cheats or not, it still has to attack and is still stuck on the frame limits of the move right? Thats when you can strike back, no?
Im not saying cheating isnt bad, and im not saying its not annoying either, but in general fighters are different and they are completely skill based unless the cheater changes things that the other can never do.
In hindsight, pretty sure ive fought cheaters back in the day in sf4 before, but that was never that bad because i still had options to fight them back...
How would cheating in a fighter even look like? Those games are mostly about reading your opponent. Unlike a fps or moba, all info is on the screen etc :/
Auto combo-ing? Auto reponse? Legit curious as i dont think ive seen cheaters in fighters before, but ive been out of the loop since sf4 haha
Ah, you meant original release date of the amd cpus.
Ye, makes sense.
I personally think they wanted to verify to have no issues in their cpu's because intel is kinda euh... In a very bad state atm haha. You dont want to be part of that right now xD
... You just contradicted yourself there with the timeline/dates lol.
Wait for intel patch, but release date of cpus is before the expected release date of the microcode patch.
Exactly. Thats why i made the pcb design for the connector, everything is measured out and the pinout is written out too.
It also is connected to the exi bus, which is shared with the memory cards...
Makes no sense tbh
I... Dont know why this exists.
Ive been aware of a few ethernet projects for gamecube and none of them makes sense to me.
All of them use a custom chip/interface and require special code in software.
On top of that, none of them have merged the code into libogc (the open source gamecube homebrew library i help maintain ).
If i were to make a project like this, i'd use a mcu ( pi zero? ) together with a ethernet controller. The mcu would expose the same interface the official bba would, so even games could use it out of the box.
I even made a pcb design for extrems so he had the pcb pinouts just like the official bba to work sonething out of.
Reporting the bug without fixing it is not repairing the software :p
This is a topic about manufactoring, thats a different thing as its more based on processes and blueprints
Depending on the angle, yes. If its for repairs, then yes. If its for product (manufactoring) improvements, then no. Im a software developer that often collaborates with other teams of open source software. I report, and sometimes fix, bugs so it improves the overal product for everyone. I wouldnt put that under right to repair, as it has nothing to do with repairing it yourself and more with improving a product for everyone by tackling a problem with the product at the source.
Imo open source doesnt explicitly mean "you can build it yourself"
What it does stand for is that incase of issues it can be looked at and resolved. Be it finding the broken component, or looking at the designs and reporting the fault. Both of which improve the thing that is open sourced.
As an example : the framework laptop. Its partly open source, so in case of issues i could bring it to a repairshop which then can easily look at the designs, and figure the fault.
Or what i did with my home server sbc : get the schematics, figure out a manufactoring fault ( cracked solder on pci lane ), fix it and report it to the manufacturer ( which then investigated if it was a one off or if a solder type change was needed ).
Same haha. But i use a combination of commits ( but not pushed ), ammending, fixups and usually clean it up before making a PR or pushing ( and rebase/merge main branch while at it). Its how git should be used..
Came here to see a bob comment, was happy to found one haha.
Hungry bob might also be found in an adult entertainment shop though xD
