  • Yt-dlp is the successor for YouTube-dl I believe you can have it function as a drop-in replacement if want to.

  • Depends, I think (don't quote me on this though) blu rays DRM keys can be revoked for that disk, meaning Blu ray players can reject a DRM.

You can also revoke a key hooked to a Blu ray player - making it possible to stop a player from playing any DRM protected DVDs that the key used to work for.

  • I thought blender had a timeline? Or was it removed from a recent version?

  • Yeah it's pleased or horrified depending on the quality of your shit "you really need more fiber man, that consistency is terrible, gross"

"Damn now that's a pristine shit, delicous, keep looking after yourself"

"Urgh, why do I taste blood in your stool, go see a doctor ASAP"

  • Looks like I started early.

  • Honestly that would be great - make the head unit similar to a car from '07/'08 and then if we want to upgrade it wity something aftermarket, we can. Then we can choose what bells and whistles we want.

No autopilot, not internet connected BS. Heck I'd even go without adaptive cruise control and lane assist.

07/08 really was one of the best eras for car interior, because the head units weren't usually integrated into the dash, meaning you didn't have to replace trim pieces with your unit in order to upgrade the damned stereo.

  • I generally watch dubs.. but if I can have the subs on at the same time as the dub I'll do that.

I only watch subs by itself if there is no dub, or if the dub is rediculously bad.

I actually think dubs get a lot of hate they shouldn't be getting so many of them are actually pretty good especially for a lot of modern shows.

Interestingly fairy tail is actually one of the better ones imo.

  • Great source of prions!

  • And their complete mistrust of the justice system.

    Vive la revolution anyone?

  • We really need to abolish the concept of "normies" people who categorise people like that can fuck off.

Normal doesn't exist. The definition of what normal behaviour is is too fluid among different social and age groups to fit.

  • I'm not saying it's particularly fast, but having someone who knows what they are doing drastically reduces the time.

I could probably make it quicker if I set up a bunch of scripts for initial installation.

That said the whole point of arch is DIY, lightweight - people forget the kinda of people arch is for, then complain about how long it takes to install. If you complain about install times, then the distro is not for you. (For more about the point of arch, see the arch way https://principles.design/examples/the-arch-way)

But it can be a great platform for learning about the inner workings of your typical Linux system, and that's why it's great. If you're willing to learn and look things up it can be the best option.

If you want it here and now with no fuss ,it's the third worst system to use- followed by Gentoo and lastly, LFS.

And heck once it's installed you can be as pedantic or as lazy as you want - my main system has had the same install of arch for multiple years - it's a mess and I havent really maintained it well, I just fix it when it breaks and use it like a regular system. It's just the set up process that takes the most effort.

  • Bruh, if you're going to insist on someone installing arch, at least sit by their side and walk them through it.

Having installed arch multiple times before, I can get a base system with networking and desktop environment up in half a day to a day depending on which DE.

  • What's metric or imperial got to do with pea-size toothpaste amounts?

  • Nah, there's a big difference between what and how much you're allowed to block in V2 vs V3 - the current status V2 adblock is way outside the range of V3's version.

I'd say V3 blockers can probably block at best 30% of what V2 can block. Which means it has to be selective. It essentially nuders the extension, making it worthless - an adblocker that only blocks some ads is not an adblocker at all. It's more of an ad restrictor, and in heavily monetized sites it might not even be that.

  • The rest will go to some other chrome derivative that includes a built in adblocker.

  • Idk, I live in Australia. And the toothpaste is whatever standard Colgate total is.

  • Except that it seems to give me wild indigestion whenever I swallow even the smallest amount. Sure it may not happen to everyone. So it's not a problem for some people but still.

My dentist, when I had one used to tell me not to rinse my mouth after brushing out because I had receeding gums. Can't do that anymore without suffering hugely.

  • Bruh, I worry to think what swallowing this much toothpaste would do to the inside of your stomach. There's a reason "pea size" is the amount required on a brush.

  • I like that it's a critical thinking subject, but it would be much better if you taught generic critical thinking, and used "recognising fake news" as one of the applications for critical thinking.
