  • Perez needs to start applying more pressure on Leclerc now. Force him to make mistakes so he ruins his tyres. If anything they need to start acting like a team since they'll probably need to do it more next year.

  • I think the five seconds is a fair penalty in general. It's just that Max' performance is so abnormally dominant that for him it doesn't matter.

Edit: and in lap 14 it seems like it would have been less of a penalty to let Leclerc regain position since if they pit now, he could end up 4th.

  • Middle aged people tend to get up at 6-7 in the weekend too. At least me and friends do.

The timeslots for this weekend is definitely ok for me. I like watching F1 in the morning and have the rest of the day free.

  • The damage to the Ferrari car floor, battery and even the monocoque was caused by improperly secured drain covers. FIA should have found this problem before allowing cars on track. F1 as organizer should have done a better job preventing this in total.

So while usually the track organizer is not actually F1 itself you can argue it's not their fault something like this happens, in this case it's stupid that the problem is caused by the entities that are also applying the penalties to the victim of their negligence.

  • Am I just being old and grumpy for disliking the neon advertisements? The commentators can't stop talking about how pretty they think it is, but I'm not seeing it. It's reminding me of cyberpunk 2077 except that in there it's pretty clear that those lights are indicative of society taking a wrong turn and ending up in a dystoptian hellscape.

I know the other tracks have ads too, but at least there they aren't pretending it's aesthetically pleasing.

  • This entire day so far is showing how good most track organizers are. If this was test by F1 to see how much better they would do, it's showing they're delusional about their own organisational skills.

That on top of how detached they are from the fans, both more newer casual fans to more hardcore fans. I can't speak for the superrich but I suspect that even they would be embarrassed about this.

  • The corners look to come straight from a cheap indoor karting track. They're there because they need to be and don't allow fun or interesting driving. Combined with the gaudy surroundings the commentators are being forced to say is spectacular this looks like such a dumb track. Isn't Vegas in the desert or something? They should have a built a new track outside of the city.

  • As in use phone number to sign up but only share unique username. I'd still dislike having to use a phone number but being able to use such an app with family would be enough of a plus to finally get over it.

  • Seems I'm in the minority but having to use my phone number as identier is exactly why I don't use apps like this, including WhatsApp. I don't care if my username gets shared, but I do not want my phone number to be shared with a bunch of randoms.

  • If you calculate it to be cheaper for you, awesome! I hope you get a good deal! For me where I buy my stuff online the box of powder and glass shine liquid and salt is rated at 160 uses for €15. The same brand has 80 pods for €18. And I adjust the amount of powder to the amount of dishes and how dirty they are. And if there's no glasses I don't use the program so the liquid isn't used. So I'm getting more than 160 uses out of it too.
