  • Only 5 second penalty, good for him but seems like a very light punishment. Like Palmer is saying he'll take that any time for that advantage. Edit: it's not even misplacing, he literally tried to start too soon.

  • I'd hope Gasly can finish in the P5 but with the drivers behind him, it looks like he'll need some dnf's.

For some reason I still expect Verstappen and Lando on the podium. But Piastri really should win. Hopefully McLaren strategy doesn't screw him.

  • I think this kind of rule would be a bad idea and result in this rare niche community that is actually active to die.

I've always felt these kinds of requests and rules are weird because it's to make up for someone's lack of self control to not watch social media. If your schedule or timezone is as such you can't watch it live, it would be weird that you can waste time on social media before you have time to watch the race or a summary.

You really need to put in effort to get spoiled by results here. You're not getting notifications from here like with news app.

  • Even if you think it's not worldwide, you do realise some countries and regions rely heavily upon trading with the US. And it will cause inflation, though how much depends on what will actually happen now.

  • Hybrids definitely aren't the future, but regen and optimal usage of battery energy into movement is somewhat applicable at least.

If they lose that aspect it's totally irrelevant from a technology point of view, imo.

And ofcourse the real climate impact is in the logistical circus, but like I said, I find the possible technological innovation an interesting aspect when it comes to racing itself.

  • I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority with this opinion but I don't want V10 engines to come back. Formula 1 appeals to me partially because they are innovative on the technical side. And I understand licensing means they are basically forced to not go full EV and stick to hybrids. Yet even with that they can innovate in a relevant way.

V10's are not relevant in that sense. At best they use synthetic fuel which is only carbon neutral if you shift your goalposts enough. They sure sound nice, but that's not a good enough reason to return to them imo.

  • A bit? He literally brake checked a team mate after the race because he got team orders to let them pass when they were on a different strategy. And he only begrudgingly did that after the tyre advantage would be gone. He's fast but the idea that any serious team who wants to win championships is ridiculous.

  • If you think SSO and easy profile migration doesn't save time, there's simply no point in discussing it with you. I don't like MS and their near monopoly position as a company much either. But that doesn't mean every product they make is utter trash for every situation.

There are undoubtedly other solutions but to pretend every one is too dumb to use them shows how little actual experience working in a variety of companies is.

Back in the nineties you might have had Novell NetWare or just plain old LDAP instead of AD, but unlike those competitors AD kept working and offered upgrade trajectories. And it offered decent integration with a decent mailserver (that ofcourse sucked to set up securely for outside access), and that mailserver was fantastic versus the utterly terror that was Domino combined with Notes. I don't like MS for basically forcing you to go to their cloud now, but pretending it's a bad product through and through on a functional level is just being willingly blind.

  • It integrates very well with your M365 you need at work, and it saves a ton of time when people can use SSO to basically get everything up and running immediately on a new laptop. Including bookmarks and passwords.

By default I install unblock on any user machine I touch because it's equal parts user experience and security.
