  • I heard for years about this place, how great it was, and how everyone loved it. A couple of years ago, they opened one like a mile from my house, first one ever in the area, within a good hundred miles. We went there and got food. The subs were absolute dog shit garage quality, practically microscopic in size, and cost substantially more than every single other sub shop around(we have MANY sub/pizza shops relative to the size of the city). It closed down in less than 4 months, and I have heard no further rumors of them opening another one anywhere near here.

  • Meh. This really isn't what it looks like. I'd guess he's planning to run for a much higher office, specifically one where you do NOT get elected for such a position in Texas unless you have an R next to your name.

  • Finally. The first one, I waited and waited for it to get PC port before I played it. When Forbidden West came out, I traded a smart watch for a ps4 pro, got FW from Gamefly, finished the game, and then immediately resold the ps4. Been waiting for it to come to PC so I can finally buy it on Steam.

    • Secret of Mana
    • Secret of Evermore
    • Suikoden 2
    • Suikoden 5
    • Suikoden Tactics
    • I am Setsuna
    • Okami

There are tons and TONS of amazing games on my list, these are just the few that come to mind immediately.

edit: pretty much any game in the Star Ocean series

  • Before work every day, I go to the Dollar Tree next door to buy drinks for the day. I've been buying the various random flavored waters, and whatever other drinks are sugar and caffeine free. Found this stuff called Reward, in a square bottle talking about electrolytes and whatnot, back of the bottle making it seem like they're claiming to be some knock-off Pedialyte. They claim to have a bunch of flavors, but I've only ever seen strawberry kiwi. Tastes a lot better than I expected. Kinda over-sweetened, if anything.

  • I'm 20 hours in, and all I see is a massively buggy, broken shit-show. Vanishing npcs while talking, vanishing items, menus that stop coming up, interactions that stop functioning, npcs that go hostile for no reason and can't be fixed with a reload, characters/quests that permanently break for no reason, team mates that drop-off the map or into the scenery at the start of battle and they can't get out or get healed when something downs them. And so, so, so much more.

I really, really want to love this game. But I do not, and I regret wasting the $60, as well as my incredibly limited free time.

  • I played a lot of games beforehand, but one(s) that kicked off the three decades of gaming were Lufia and the Fortress of Doom, and Final Fantasy 4(was 2 here in the US). Honestly don't remember which one I played first.

  • Maybe I'm just having a stroke here, but I could swear I'm already blocking communities I don't want to appear. Let me check...

Edit: yeah, settings/general/filters. I have a few things filtered out, like hexbear, or whatever it's called. You can hide based on user, keyword, domain, instance, and community.

  • Photoshop, Fences, Plex, Steam, Unraid. I just highly prefer them to any alternatives I have tried. And believe me, I have tried every alternative to Photoshop and Fences that I could find. They just don't do it. And because of those two in particular, I have to add Windows to the list.

Oh, and I guess Sync for Lemmy. The only reason I even know what Lemmy is, is the fact that the Sync for Reddit app stopped working and basically said, "Yeah, move to Lemmy, idiot."
