  • I have a problem with anyone being openly sexual or flaunting their sexuality in front of me regardless of their choice of orientation.

A straight couple walks past pushing their baby in a pram

"How dare they flaunt their sexuality at me!"

  • 500? Thems are rookie numbers, kiddo.

  • Could I play it safe and fire them both into the sun?

  • I feel like Putin's getting some real value out of Twitter Blue.

  • I hate exercise for the sake of it. I'd gladly ride my bike all day, but put me on an exercise bike for ten minutes and I'm bored out of my skull.

    Unrelated: I'm really fat.

  • Well, it's all going well for Twitter then...

  • The Soros cheques certainly come in handy.

  • Oh, Sepultura.

To many, the band effectively broke up when Max Cavalera left, but the Derrick Green incarnation certainly has its fans.

  • Oh yeah, this is a really good one.

  • My first real impression of Maiden was when X factor was released, and Kerrang! were making a big deal of Bayley taking over from Bruce. I liked that record well enough, but it pales next to the classics.

  • Yeah, Dickinson is the de facto Maiden singer. So much so that he came back for another go around.

    • Black Flag (Keith Morris / Henry Rollins)
    • Iron Maiden have had three (Paul DiAnno / Bruce Dickinson / Blaze Bayley*)

*Though Blaze's two albums weren't terribly good)

  • Maybe 2024 will finally be the year of Linux on the desktop.

  • In fairness I’ve been a Mac user since 2007, but even with my occasional flirtations with Windows, I’ve not used anything higher than 10.

My wife’s machine is running 10. I heard her trying to install 11 via a VM the other day to see how she got on with it, and I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone swear at a computer quite so much in quite so short a period of time.

Her machine is still running 10.

  • If the rumours of it running in the cloud are true, it'll act like it n'all.

  • Huh, and I've never even used Windows 11...

  • Huh, turns out it's on Apple Music too! Guess it's not a technical answer after all!

  • Welcome to the Sad Dad club, where the music we enjoy is about feelings and missing cats. You'll never be happy again, but you'll love the music nonetheless!

  • Kurt's vocal on Where Did You Sleep Last Night is one of the most visceral things I've ever heard. Get that on through decent headphones and you'll never listen to it the same way again. That breath he takes before the last lines is absolutely haunting.
