  • Does he look like a guy with a plan?

  • There is no point in debate when you can't agree on basic facts. A lot of transphobes are living in their own bubble, having completely rejected relevant experts in psychology, medicine, and many other fields.

  • According to who, Paul himself? The early church fathers? Paul came along after Jesus was already gone.

Do you have any idea how messy the canonization of scripture is? It's a bloody circus.

Don't buy the Evangelical party line; they're as wrong about that as they are about most things.

  • When it comes to grammar and syntax it makes sense though. Common rules help us understand each other.

Except that we're talking about individual words here. It's not as if we're saying verbs are over now or that all sentences have to be all "Shaka, when the walls fell" or something.

You could have made that point without being rude towards the entirety of the STEM community, but chose not to.

  • I literally had creationist bullshit in my text books, so I'm thinking this site won't cover everything...

  • Conspiracy is just Conservative these days. Same people, same dumb content.

  • These people really don't understand the difference between household budgets and sovereign nations, do they? Does she think a bank is going to repo an aircraft carrier or something?

  • Why can't steam just allow some games you flag to not announce themselves?

  • Why? The CCP is a defacto stakeholder in all Chinese companies. No fucking way am I installing anything they control.

Edit: Oh God the more you read of this article the stupider it gets. Shame on the Guardian for publishing this garbage.

  • Are they sure? Has anyone tried discussing government contracts that will have a huge impact on the stock market in front of her to see if she perks up?

  • I mean ... what did they think the result of those low effort posts would be, exactly? I've been on the Internet long enough to see far, FAR worse than that. All it does is clutter up a thread.

OTOH, threads like these are great for my blocklist. Makes it easy to screen out histrionic bigots that can't differentiate between an Episcopalian or United Methodist with a gay priest who's worst crime against humanity involves providing housing for folks in their community and some batshit nuts Evangelical White Nationalist.

  • I fully support a woman's right to choose without conditions because I believe it's wrong to require that someone keep someone else alive with their own body. It removes that person's agency and reduces them to less than a person. We can't require that people donate organs after they die, so we obviously can't require that they host another person against their will.

A person should have more rights and protections than a corpse. Obviously.

  • Excuse me, I know many Atheists who have a pact with a Great Old One. Some of them enjoy the flavor and better spell selection. /s

  • I mean I tried to watch RRR. It was ... unintentionally funny. But by all means go on hating popular thing.

  • Dude I am 100% certain you replied to the wrong guy, because the only 40k stories I've read are Caiphas Cain books (which are pretty funny and entertaining).

Not really into grimdark though; when positive change is impossible I tend to check out and lose interest in the story.

  • It's there. To paraphrase Anton Ego though, new things need people to stick up for them. So if you see a new story, go see it and tell your friends. Everything Everywhere All At Once is a great example. Amazing movie, and it's stuck with me.
