I went through a stomach surgery, and when I left the hospital they have me a receipt for some pain medication. I got a packet of 500(!!) morphine based pills. I took one, and decided I'd rather live with the pain. I like alchohol and the rush it gives me, but morphine in my body is fucking shit. Worst feeling I've felt in my life. I was suicidal, non-responsive (according to my GF) - but no pain even if I cannot remember a damn thing. Fuck that shit
Good! They're the leading star for many public european broadcasters. I hope many will follow. I work in public sector, and I have lobbied to get IT to start up mastodon servers on our own
My country has a public broadcaster called NRK, which is funded by taxes paid by the people. By law they are funded by the public, but they have full editorial freedom (NRK-plaque) and they got a special board made up by members of the public to handle complaints and ethical issues. They are governed by Medietilsynet (eng.: The Norwegian Media Authority), and have a special responsibility to support democracy and public knowledge.
NRK digs up dirt on and criticises members of Parliament (Storting), Parliament itself and the different ministries.
This is the default behaviour for chickens. I can't think of any chicken like creatures that exists in the wild that resembles. The chickens I kept had plenty of room both inside and outside. Outside was a predator proof fence around a large area with different kinds of vegetation, bushes and wet and dry environments (I also had a couple of mallards). Inside they had running water, things to climb on to roost, and various boxes to lay and sleep in. Every week I cleaned their living quarters and threw down fresh bedding. They were not for food or for egg production. I ate and gave away the eggs they laid.
Edit: to keep the roosters from doing the dirty with close relatives, I swapped rooster with other people that kept poultry as a hobby
I work in the public sector. If I start my day at 06.00, I can leave at 14.30 👌 Perfect for me since I am an early riser and the days are slowly getting darker and darker again
