  • Compared to MacBook m1 pro, there are plenty of better options. Asus zephyrus lineup for example.

    Yes, the m1 has less bugs with peripherals and software than the 2019 MacBook pro, but it is still an absolute pain to use for software dev

  • Sounds like a skill issue.

    Have had yubikey for a few years. It was a pain to set it up initially, but it took me less than an hour if I remember correctly. Since then the only issue I have is that sometimes I accidentally bump into it and it pastes an OTK to a random place.

  • In this case, the government isn't forcing the customer to do anything at all. If you don't care about it, then absolutely nothing will change for you. The only thing it does is provide more options for people who want more options.

  • Self checkout should have those mobile scanners that you can use to check items out while you're still shopping. We have them here and it is a godsend for larger purchases. You scan the items, put them in your bags and at the self checkout, you can just register your card and pay.

  • All of the local stores here have a mobile scanner which you take when you enter the shop. Then you walk around, take the item you want, scan it and bag it. At the self checkout you put away the scanner, register your card, pay and walk away. This is way faster than regular checkout if you have more than 3 items.

  • And there is a large selection of different manufacturers that can make these parts once the OEM stops. Try to find a company that is making and stocking a 5 year old phone display, camera module, etc
