  • Yeah I've definitely reached that burnout before! I had to take a bit of time out of coding in general. I would suggest doing something different that doesn't involve a computer screen like some of the suggestions here. Things like maybe hiking or bird watching. I'm sure there's a bunch of local organizations that are available for you to find that involves outdoor recreation.

If you want to combat that burnout with coding still, maybe try learning something different from what you're used to, like game dev.

  • I remember the reaction that I had when I watched this scene in the theater. I was awestruck and confused. The whole scene perfectly described the tone it had for me for the rest of the movie, a fever dream.

  • Hmm I get where you're coming from but if told well enough, I think "bad" or "sad" endings can absolutely work in video games. CP2077 is essentially a futuristic noir. The moral of the story is fame and infamy is bright but short and at the cost of ones life. And it's the connections you make with people that may outlast you. The story was what carried me through finishing it during it's initial launch. I think if they had more content and interactions in the city to make it more "alive", then it would've been even more, even after all the updates and dlc, imo.

  • Yeah, it's really ashame that most AAA companies opt in the quick and easy ways these days. Especially with CDPR, since most of us saw them grow with the witcher series. But I will die on the hill in agreeing with you that Cyberpunk did better in most aspects than Starfield upon release, other than the amount of bugs. In my opinion, Starfield has taken Bethesda's outdated "RPG" formula and became something even more bland and hollow than their last game. It's really sad and disappointing to see honestly
