I have a different one apparently, the bondtech ddx. It comes with it's own smaller stepper motor. I ordered a new gear either way since they have an upgraded version now, but mine seem to be on a round axle with bearings.
Little addition though, i completely took apart the extruder to check. The gear that is directly on the extruder is STUCK on there lol. The other secondary gears are on bearings and all still look brand new apart from a tiny amount of filament shavings that i cleaned out right away.
It might be in part that i messed up the thumb screw tightness because i wasn't aware of their specific instructions. I usually just tightened it to: "meh, feels right" and haven't had a similar issue before.
My printer is in parts atm as i ordered a new hotend, i'm still waiting for replacement springs as i broke one within 10 minutes of receiving the hot end.
I got my e3d hotend and it took me a full 6 minutes to break it. I turned the bottom to line up the cables so it would fit in the bondtech thing and i managed to bend the spring enough that i couldn't remove the nozzle anymore.
In an attempt to free it i completely fucked up the spring, so i'm back to ordering parts again.
That is way above my knowledge level, damn. Usually what i've found on google is that people have a different issue that causes this to happen like a different printer that uses another flavour of gcode that doesn't use the start gcode.
None of the things i've found so far has fixed my issue.
In the past i would do a fresh calibration of all the different settings and eventually the printer would start behaving again.
I'm going to have to do that either way as i have a new hot end coming in today for this printer.
You could just make a thing when you feel like it and throw it up for sale, that's my idea but tbh i haven't been able to keel my printer working throughout a single project so nothing ever gets done.
I doubt the accuracy of ads a lot, i keep getting this polestar 2 ad assuming i can afford to buy a new car. I can't even afford a shitbox and the running costs.

I literally got an ad for (probably) some dating website, telling me to have some roadside anal with the girl pictured...this ad was on the youtube app, like what the actual fuck.
I've seen more tame ads on sketchy porn sites.
I got a government served ad on instagram of a photo with huge piles of viagra, telling me not to bring home those pills from vacation. I was at work trying to show a coworker some miniature a friend painted, needless to say i got a wtf face from my coworker and i reported the ad.
Keep ads reasonable and the amount reasonable like it used to be and this issue would've never existed.
Tbh instagram is just a shithole because every post is someone flexing their influencer deal, trying to sell you some bullshit.
The rest are just true ads hosted by facebook (as far as i'm aware, since you can't advertise on instagram without a facebook account).
I'm using an adblock on firefox and my internet on my pc is decent, it actually feels like i'm using the internet compared to it using me to shovel ads into my face.
I just did a career test as i got curious, it said i'm social even after i explicity answered 12 different questions to imply i'm quite the opposite.

I just started sailing again and all the torrents i want for my fav bands are stuck at 0. So i've started getting songs one by one from that website that takes them from deezer i found on here.
My memories go as far back to when a full commercial block was 60 seconds and only happened once in the middle of a movie and usually around once per hour on regular tv.
Imo paying a monthly fee and not getting something in return you can still use if you fall on bad times in such uncertain times as today makes zero sense. Rent more than doubled in the past 3 years and my wage actually went down, there is zero oppertunity to build a better life and now every silly business wants me to increase my monthly expenses by another 5/20 bucks per service per month, compared to an era where we just bought shit for cheap from the discount bin when we didn't make a lot of money.
I'll "ARRRR!" the whole way until they behave and life becomes affordable again.
I stopped working out because i can't afford the food needed to properly benefit from a workout. Whey used to be a cheap way to get protëine and it went up 350% in the past 2 years. Eggs, chicken, peanuts, vegetables all doubled in price. I'm left eating a roll of cheap cookies just to get some food in me half the time.
