I’m not celebrating a monopoly, I’m celebrating a good platform for consumers. Steam likely knows that if it angers people its monopoly is ripe for a ton of regulation, at least in the European market where PC gaming is huge.
I wish golf wasn’t a sport of the elite. It’s such a fun. Whacking a ball as far as you can is so satisfying and then combo that with an all day walk through a garden. We must revive golf as the every man’s sport!
Networking has to be the most confusing and tedious IT work I’ve ever done. I still don’t fully understand all the basics of security. But by far the worst part is that troubleshooting can’t be done like normal programming. Network troubleshooting takes forever, and all you get is a working network. Network work feels so dull even I have a hard time seeing my effort.
I’ve had windows 10 tell me I can’t upgrade to windows 11 because my SSD was formatted incorrectly even though it had always ran windows 10 fine. None of this was properly explained to me or how to fix it. By the time I finally got it working I didn’t even want windows 11.

I had come to assume this update would never come. I always found it so odd the 6 year old last update was to prepare for a an update that never came. I wonder why the developer waited 6 years on a single massive update instead of… well just not doing that.
Unlike other republicans who are at the whim of trump, the Supreme Court can’t really be touched and don’t have to bow down to him while still being shitty republicans.
There’s only two reasons an app should be a subscription.
The app requires constant server connection that is an active cost to the developer.
The app requires constant updates for maintaining functionality/ relevancy.
There are a few subscriptions I pay for (Nabu casa for one). There’s real merit in the subscription model, but it should only be about 1% of things not 80%.
I like the idea of a critical role needing another roll to see just how critical it was. That way something crazy can always happen, but it doesn’t need to be a certain doom either.
