  • Microsoft primary motivation was not to benefit the community, but to gain good PR in that case. It just so happen that this move also benefits the community as well.

And that's my point. Sometimes, corpos' decisions benefit the community, but this is only a side effect, not the intended purpose.

  • It's a decent starting point for a new language. I had to learn webdev as an embedded C coder, and using a LLM and cross-referencing the official documentation makes a new language much more approachable.

  • No corpos does something for the good of the people. It just so happen that this particular thing does.

Behind every move, there is a price tag attached to it.

By doing that, Microsoft is trying to get good PR.

  • It's going in forced arbitration. Big difference here.

If both parties agreed to do arbitration, it would be dandy.

But nowadays, the government is eager to shut down any strike with special laws sprinkled with bullshit, and fuck over the workers' right to strike.

  • I'm from Quebec and we have this character called Elvis Gratton and one of his famous line is "Ils l'ont l'affaire les americains" or in bastardized English "Americans know what they are doing".

Elvis Gratton is a caricature of a typical man of that era where a lot of Quebecers were enamored with the US. At that time in the US, it was the golden era of the American dream (but we know how it turned out).

When I see conservatives spreading their bullshit, it reminds me of that character which is not very intelligent and how pervasive the US conservative propaganda is in Canada.

  • It is known in advance which item is in special and at what price during a determined period of time.

With dynamic pricing, the price could change between you choosing what you want and actually order, without any notice.

    This is two different beasts.

  • They sell ibuprofen with acetaminophen at the pharmacy, off the shelf, so that's not an issue.

It is recommended to alternate between the two so that you are always under the effect of either one and it reduces the pain throughout the day, instead of having big spikes of pain/no-pain.

  • You are fighting millions of years of evolution. If you are in caloric deficit for too long, your body thinks you don't have food near you anymore and try to conserve whatever energy you have.

Take a diet break and up your calories slightly daily until you see yourself gaining a little bit of weight. Then cut back the last increase.

Keep that calorie intake for a few weeks and then start a new cut after that. Rinse and repeat until you are at your goal weight.

Ab easy rule of thumb is to do a weight cut for 6-12 weeks, and then do a maintenance weight for the same length of time you did your cut.

  • Because the CEO is probably having an existential dread crisis and needs to do something about it. So he fucks up the logo because he can, and fuck you. Now watch Mozilla ads from their newly acquired Ad company.

  • Tenants are already getting fucked over. People already on financial strain hit by a 25% rent increase over 2 years like it happened here will lose their apartment and the landlord gets to keep his property that "pays for itself" (see: someone else is paying their property). And that sets a precedent for other landlords.

At one point in time, the trade off for renting was a lower monthly payment than a mortgage and a maintained apartment by the landlord.

Nowadays, tenants pay for the entirety of the mortgage, and landlords complaint when they aren't cashflow positive month to month and don't maintain their property because they have the big end of the stick on a human right.

And the response from the government? "We'll look into it". Fuck that noise.

  • Then fucking sell the property and cut your losses. Why is it that landlords are sacrosanct people that make money regardless of the bad "investment" they made?

The GDP is so tied to the real estate that we see inane shit like that.

  • It's always the same thing.

Corpo push dog-shit idea and receives backlash.

Pull back for a moment, and goes a little bit softer than the last and see if it sticks. If it sticks, it becomes the new standard for every similar corpo.

    Rinse and repeat.

Just look at when Bethesda tried to sell a horse armor for Skyrim. Now it's the norm.

  • You are the one with reading skills issue. OP said he doesn't have money for the meal plans items.

Depending on where you are, eating fruits and veggies in season will be a lot less expensive and somewhat satiating if mixed with inexpensive fats and proteins.

Nuts are expensive as hell, avocado are expansive as well. Even super greens are getting expensive.

  • At this point, we can boil down everything to a nutrient paste with no flavor to be healthy. But very few people would be able to endure that.

This is a terrible advice to not eat fruits when trying to lose weight. The diet fatigue is real, and eating an apple can at least take off the edge when its getting harder in the later weeks. I know it did for me when I wanted to eat junk food.

And the goal is also to develop healthy habits, and having fruits add to the variety of available food.

I mean, you are technically correct, but it won't help anyone trying to change their lifestyle.

  • That's such a dumb take. Fruits are like the second best thing after vegetables in their ration of satiation per calorie.

Added sugar is completely different beast from the sugar in fruits and vegetables.

You would need to eat an ungodly amount of fruits for it to be bad for your health.
