I can't hear anything above 20 kHz, and neither can most people. CD audio is passed through a 20 kHz lowpass filter. It is then sampled at 44 kHz. Due to the Nyquist Shannon Spamling Theorum, when sound is digitally sampled at just above twice the rate of the source audio, converting it back to analog perfectly reproduces the original waveform. And I do mean perfectly. The exact same waveform. (The extra 4 kHz is to prevent artifacts in frequencies very close to 20 kHz.)
Therefore CD audio is perfect unless you think you can hear above 20 kHz. (Spoiler: you can't) There are a few good YouTube videos on this topic, and the best ones are very mathy.
Is there something I'm missing? Do I need to educate myself some more?
Try Thunder or Eternity. Both are pretty good, and the best open source alternatives I've tried. I paid $20 for Sync at launch, and now that LJ is back at it, I'm using it again.
$20 one time for an app I use every day is not that much really. It's the price of an average meal out. Or maybe 1.5 cheaper ones. You'll forget you even paid it in a couple weeks.
Overall, I prefer the old version. Sometimes I need to be reminded of the context of a reply, I can just tap the reply. Other times it's obvious from the message itself.
Right now the post title font is larger then the reply font. It should be the other way around. The reply should be the most obvious thing, and the ancillary stuff should be small and compact. But including the title at all should be optional, as well as the icons.
I personally don't want to see user avatars or community icons or even the post title, really. I also don't need it to have a cute speech bubble. The reply should use the full width to save vertical space.
There's a lot of wasted space for one line replies. And longer replies end up being taller than need be because of the indent. And seeing the same post title over and over is oddly bothersome.
If you want markdown to preserve new lines you have to add two spaces at the end of each line before hitting Enter. Or just make a bulleted list and lose the empty boxes.

Language is organic and should evolve with people. What better to reflect that than a crowd sourced dictionary?
Go to crowd sourced dictionary and enter new word with a new meaning you just made up!
Go outside and loudly proclaim "Big Dictionary can't control language! I've made up a new word!"
No one uses your word, ever.
Success? Is that what you think dictionaries should be?
If a bunch of people start using a new word, whether it's because a prominent author makes it up, or a foreigner teaches it to some people, or it evolved as slang among teens, if a diverse cross section of the popluace start using the word, then guess what? Lexicographers put it in their dictionary!
They don't make up the new words. Lexicographers document language usage. They don't dictate it. A dictionary isn't the Bible.
Go look up "fake" words like irregardless. You'll find it with it's definition showing the way many people use it, despite it being a double negative word with an illogical usage. And the only hint of prescriptivism will be the note "nonstandard" next to it because the vast majority of people recognize it as a wrong word.
If you want a dictionary full of made up slang and memes go to Urban Dictionary. Meanwhile, Wiktionary is a standard dictionary edited by professional and amateur word enthusiasts who document word usage.
Yeah, Sync is dumb and still uses reddit markdown. Pisses me off. It'll even edit perfectly good Lemmy spoiler syntax and turn it into reddit syntax when you edit one of your comments! Ridiculous.
They have several Mega Man 2 shows online. One of the other shows might have better audio, but this one's pretty good. They play the sound track while a speed runner plays the game. Their shows are awesome in person!
I'll fix your list for you. It doesn't have any line breaks, and it has some typos.

Firefox has an add-on called "Allow Right-Click" that lets you easily toggle blocking right-click scripts. Some sites offer a useful context menu, like Google Drive, so you don't necessarily want to always be blocking them. Hence the toggle.
Please explain. I'm still not seeing the point. Vinyl is outselling CDs because.... digital goods will be stolen from you? I don't get it.
