That Veritasium video about electricity was absolute bullshit. For however many minutes long it was, he didn't once use the word "induction" or try to actually explain anything. The video was basically "electricity is voodoo". I immediately unsubscribed, and I can't even stand seeing his face anymore.

If your shitty science video spawns multiple video responses from your betters calling you out on your bullshit, you are a bad science YouTuber and should stop making videos.

You need to put a space after the period after your numbers to make a numbered list. Your list is all jumbled up into a paragraph. Doing it the right way also means the numbers you use don't actually matter, which is nice because inserting an item near the top doesn't mean you then have to edit all the numbers under it. They can all be 1. and the list will be numbered correctly.

I have not. I use Fusion for CAD and CAM for a CNC router.

I've been learning GIMP to replace Photoshop in preparation. So far, so good, but there are still things about GIMP I just dont get. Like, it's seems impossible to paint onto a fully transparent layer because the paint tool doesn't modify the mask as it goes. I don't even want that layer to have an alpha channel, but it seems like you have no choice if you want a transparent layer.

If you try to paint on a transparent layer, you just get... nothing. It's so trivial in Photoshop to make a new layer and just paint into it, and I can't figure it out at all in GIMP. (I really should ask in a forum, but I also feel like I shouldn't have to.)

Being able to script in Python to simulate Photoshop actions is both awesome and crappy. It's awesome because of how powerful it is, but crappy that I can't just whip up an action in seconds to make a quick, repeatable edit.

I guess I'll have to use a VM to run Autodesk Fusion. ☹️

Same. This is the best photo editor I've used on Android. The UI takes some getting used to, but it can do everything OP said, even the clipboard stuff. (Mostly. See below.)

It has curves, cloning, painting, cropping, rotating, resizing, add text, add image, add arbitrary shapes, and more and more. It can even make animated GIFs or extract frames from GIFs.

It's like Photoshop but not from Adobe. I paid for the pro version forever ago and have been using it for years.

Clipboard stuff: It can't open the clipboard as a file that I can tell, but you can paste the clipboard into an image using the "text/image" function. You can even have it resize the pasted image to fit the current document size. So you make a new document that's the size you want, use Text/Image to paste it in with that setting emabled.

And then you can export the current image to the clipboard using the normal save feature. Or save it to an actual file.
