  • I'm not defending the actions of the Israeli army. They are doing some bad stuff.

But everyone supporting Palestine as a state should have a week with Hamas at work. Hamas is the government of Palestine. The civilian population of Palestine are getting shafted because the Palestinian government are using them as shield.

If Palestine sent it's army. Read Hamas to fight in the field Israel wouldn't have any excuse to do a ground invasion in urban environments.

Meanwhile the head of Hamas sits safe in Kuwait sipping champagne.

  • Well. The war took 20.000 lives daily. The bombs took about 140k if i recall right.

If the war lasted 7 more days it would even out. The bombs ended it instantly.

The Japanese doctrine was to fight to the very last man, woman and child.

The Japanese are like everyone else. Only more. They had some powerful cultural settings to be able to do what they did.

  • A great example of how this class operates. Our foreign minister from the Labour party had to step down due to suspicions of providing her husband with inside information on government contracts to public traded companies. The husband bought stocks and they made some cash.

The reward for this corruption is a new position as our ambassador to the US. She officially got the job two days ago.

We have seen this upper class of politicians never having to stand responsible for their actions for some years now. On both sides.

There's no wonder people get desperate. The only solution they get provided is using their vote. And when they do use it they get called out for using it the "wrong" way.

Either the current politicians fix their shit, or the people will topple them. It's fairly predictable.

  • The rise of right wing parties might be a consequence of the left wings failure to govern.

In Norway the Labour Party was the biggest party for decades. Now the party is infested with politicians using it for career paths to NGO's or international organisations like UN and EU. The same party made for the labourers implements tax policies making it really hard to start industries.

Money are being spent on the most incredible projects bearing no fruit for future generations.

At a point people get fed up, and in desperation they have to vote further to the right. If you want less government spending on stupid projects you also have to get some fascism.

The problem is not the right wing parties or stupid people. The problem is worthless left wing politicians not contributing positive to the nation.

    It saddens me.

  • Being a pedestrian in Amsterdam can be pretty bad. Dutch on bikes are insane. No slowing down is allowed. The bike might be rigged like the bus in Speed or whatever. Ready to explode.

People on heavy e-bikes are riding 25km/h over pedestrian crossings with poor visibility.

It is dangerous, and should be treated as such.

Cars in Amsterdam is a much smaller consern than bikes. Really.

Been there. Beautiful city. Terrible biking culture. The Dutch know. They reference it occasionally.

  • So. In Norway we have this great system for returning used bottles for cash. We get 0.2$ for a 0.5 liter bottle. People are returning the bottle with the cap on. Seeing bottle caps laying around isn't a thing.

Instead of attaching the cap to the bottle. Make a return system for the bottles. People are not systematically seperating the bottle and the cap as the cap keeps the sugary residue left inside the bottle in place instead of in the bag you carry them with to the store for returning them for that sweet cash.

Attaching the cap is a solution looking for a problem.

Having travelled a lot around in Europe I have never seen bottle caps laying the street alone. People throw them together or not at all.

This is bureaucracy time spent on caps instead of actual problems. So they could focus on actual issues instead of this shit. It's a testament to how they blame every issue on random people instead of the industries inventing new ways to fuck up any ecosystem.

  • I'm so fucking tired.

It's estimated the fishing industry is losing around 400 metric tonnes of fishing gear into Norwegian waters every year.

Now we are punished for this by attaching the stupid caps to the bottles. Why are we not able to fix problems in this society hellbent for self destruction?

Why are every problem pushed down on the working class just wanting to enjoy a soda in this capitalistic hellscape.

  • I'm really on the fence now on buying a console in the future. I've always bought the latest iteration and multiple games from Nintendo.

But they are turning into some lawyered slimy multi billion corporation feeding the orphan crushing machine.

If they don't operate with ethics, then neither should I.

  • I have a GameCube, Wii, Wii u, 3DS and a switch with multiple games on all. I've also used emulators to play modded Zelda games with increased performance.

Nintendo made shit ports on switch and took a premium. They can get royally fucked.

They are not losing revenue from piracy. Stupid greedy orcs.
