  • Did you use cmd with elevated admin privileges? Try right click cmd and run as admin if you don't know what I'm talking about. Windoze stopped running cmd with elevated privileges sometime around Win7. From a security perspective it makes a lot of sense to do that as default, even though it can be a bit of a pain for home users that expect to have admin for everything they do.

  • Guess what, AWS is setting up their second HQ in Texas, so Texas is going to get a lot of people relocating from the west coast once that's all finished. Guess what, they generally like to vote and be involved in local politics.

  • I forget why they were originally built but I do remember hearing on the local news they are tearing a lot of them down because it's been having negative side effects on the environment. I live in Seattle so this is local news for me.

  • "I am the Lorax, I speak for trees, the trees are fucking pissed and the industrial revolution has had disastrous consequences for human society and planet Earth".

The guy on the bottom said something like that I think.

  • I still can't believe anyone fell for that, it was literally a joke on 4chan. Literally some random people on 4chan thought it would be funny and started making up the most unbelievable shit and people thought it was real. If you don't believe me just look up some of the conspiracy theories and tell me they didn't start as a joke made up by /pol/tards.

  • I would probably put my WLAN on a different subnet/VLAN then the rest of the network, maybe even split it into trusted and guest networks if your AP's support broadcasting multiple SSID's. I don't see anything about NAT/PAT so I assume this isn't going to touch the Internet and just for home brew fuckery.

  • Chinese military is mostly defensive, they might take a few regional territories they consider to be a part of China, like Tibet and Taiwan, but they don't have much interest in using their military to invade a country like Japan. That said, no one is going to defeat the Chinese in a ground invasion of China, they are pretty fucking tough.

  • The OG SAP application was originally written in German, I don't remember what language it was written in but I remember writing automation scripts back in the day and being like "how do I convert this perl/Python/bash script into German".

  • There's that one fucking game that the players keep leaking classified docs about military tanks and jets and shit so they can make the game hyper realistic. I think it's called like War Thunder or something.
