What's good and what's popular do not necessarily align. Removing "complicated" features for the sake of mass appeal makes the game worse, but more profitable, much of the time.

You're fine to prefer that way, but you're just wrong about files being less secure or somehow less owned than physical copies.

Because mediocrity and popularity go hand in hand, it's the profit motive at work. Being largely inoffensive and generally palatable is profitable.

Not necessarily, you can self-host. I also listed it as a backup, for actual storage on thumb drives, SD cards, etc. It's really not difficult, files are far more secure and safe than a physical book, which itself degrades upon use.

And if you store it in the cloud, and in thumb drives, they will be there even if your home burns down, and far more of em too.

It's not about comfort, voting harder won't meaningfully improve anything, just prevent it from getting worse.

Trump isn't to blame for Biden's impact on gas prices. At the same time, Biden isn't to blame for the disastrous economic policy of Trump that caused massive inflation and instilled purely incompetent people into stations like the Supreme Court. Gas prices have trajectory, if you can recognize that Biden has had a negative impact on gas prices then surely you can understand that Trump royally fucked the economy, along with Social Programs and steered the US towards fascism.
