  • I don't know about the game, but the book is good.

The devs are working on the game and recently they released a book from the game's world.

I really thought it would be shit, but then I saw that it was written by a known scifi author, so I thought it would be at least readable. I was pleasantly surprised and the book is actually really good.

    The book in question is:

Exodus: The Archimedes Engine by Peter F. Hamilton

  • Exactly this. When my brother has a problem with Windows, I just tell him this.

He doesn't let me install linux on his PC, but when I told him that Valve is coming with their own Linux distro, he said that he will try that one when it comes out.

*Of course I try to fix his windows problem when I can.

  • There were some leaks or rumors that the main protagonist of the new Witcher game will be somebody new from the new School of the Lynx.

I was excited to play as somebody completely new and somebody who isn't in Geralt's circle.

Ciri is a great character though and I'm looking forward to the game either way.

  • I remember some people on Twitter being mad when at the end of the game, the game told them that they were fascists. It's funny to me because unless you were playing a total piece of shit, you always came out as a communist in this game.

  • Yep, Muskrat is playing Frostpunk and completely ignores anything that doesn't make him money.

Edit: Actually, not a very good comparison. Because in Frostpunk, you are actively fighting for your survival. Elon probably doesn't even know what that means.

  • I really wanted to like bookwyrm and use it but it's just so bare bones. Instead, I switched from goodreads to StoryGraph like two years ago. I really like some of its features like content warnings, moods, very detailed stats of my reading habits, etc.

  • I don't want to put you down or anything, but this is very surprising to me. 100+ hours from multiple play throughs feels really small to me. You clearly love the game. So I am wondering why was your first time so short? When I love a game, I want to experience as much of the content as I can in my first playthrough. It took me 185 hours to finish Cyberpunk 2077 without the DLC. I haven't played that one yet. I am waiting for a new PC so that I can play the game on max settings.

  • I tried to get into terraria so many times, but this 2d perspective is just not doing it for me. For the same reasons, I don't play metroidvanias and platformers. There are some platformer that I like, Gris, for example, but that's not exactly the same. I have no problems with Core keeper or Stardew valley, so the genre is not the problem. I need to reconcile with it and accept that some games are just not for me.

  • I use Steam Chat for playing games with family and friends. It has better audio quality than discord in my opinion, and you can make groups (something like Discord servers) too. It doesn't have all the functionality of servers, but the basic idea is there.

I am actually surprised nobody mentioned it yet Why use some third party application, when you can use the Steam's one.

It's not like the OP is concerned about privacy. They were using discord. They didn't say it has to be open source.

For talking outside of gaming or away from PC, I use signal.
