  • I like to use parsec to play games with my friends. When I found out Linux could not host parsec, that was a bummer for me. If parsec had compatibility to host in Linux I'd switch back immediately.

  • Even though I am giving up privacy by having my real name online, I just realized that I do not matter to anyone. Out of 7 Billion people I am insignificant, so the chances of malicious activity towards me is incredibly low. For me there is a comforting feeling of being able to communicate as myself on the internet instead of needing an alias to hide behind for protection. Plus, if my full name is googled then the only information that comes up is a drug crime lord in Britain since we share a very similar name; that has been a great mask to hide sensitive information.

  • I'm sure Kevin will bounce back. It's a new relationship. Not like it's been going on for years. Hopefully the uncle doesn't beat him up.

  • Gotta save the $1 so you can buy a box of pasta for the rest of the year.

  • I consider myself to just be an average Joe and I don't think Lemmy is too difficult to figure out. Moreso just a getting used to. I think the majority of people are just too lazy to put in the effort to get used to a new system, even if it is better in some areas than the previous system.

  • I don't like how reddit it shifting to be a corporate monitored discussion site. I'm okay with reddit being a company, it takes money to run the servers, but they have begun to hinder the accessibility of the users for their own benefit. I'm sure they have done it in the past, but this time shows how little they care about us and how much they are in it only for the money. Now they are censoring and manipulating posts to look better. I don't stand by that.
