Carlson is just making a big deal about this because of the seeming emergence of Christian nationalism. Just trying to create a controversy, get his name in the news. What consenting adults do in the privacy of their bedrooms is their own damn business and no one elses.

Putting political appointees in place of today's career civil service would be terrible. We live in a technological world and neither lawyers or judges can understand the finer points of things like environmental degradation, rocket science or brain surgery.

When I buy food, I'm one of the label readers. A minority perhaps, but with food allergies it's important for me to know what I'm eating. One of the proposals is to change federal labeling requirements to a voluntary system.

I found myself wondering if he is a Christian. Per Wikipedia, he and his spouse are "members of The Chapel on the Campus, a nondenominational Christian church that meets on LSU's campus in Baton Rouge."

In Christianity, much ado is made about caring for the poor. Just saying.

When I was a kid my parents sent me to an upscale private boarding school. When we were speaking to superiors, we had to yell loud enough to shake walls. When we didn't yell loud enough, we were punished. This yelling mandate/training went on for an entire year called the plebe year. Yet, when we yell in real-life adult situations, we are somehow considered insane and dangerous? Perhaps states should not allow schools to intentionally teach yelling as a compulsory-school training technique?

I could have sworn I read that Musk was a free speech absolutist. Freedom for me but not for thee?

I'm getting inject bleach vibes. Antibiotic resistance is a real phenom and routinely injecting farm animals with antibiotics is a fast way to evolve antibiotic resistant organisms.

I'd really like to see them pass some restrictions on religious proselytizing. I know they won't 'cause 1st Amendment, but that's what's driving the anti-trans and anti-LGBT policies.

It is said that the first casualty of war is the truth. I do not think it is reasonable to believe anyone is telling the whole truth. This war seems to be driven by deep hatred on both sides. All those of us who are in our cubicles thousands of miles away (like myself) can do is to get a variety of news items from a variety of sources and attempt to discern the truth, and be willing to accept that we may not find it.

I sure hope this doesn't go through. Albertsons is already too big, their regular prices are high, although their sale prices are okay, they make their customers jump through hoops to get those sale prices. I miss Lucky.

I disagree with Snyder. The crowing of the president as king via Extreme Court's immunity decision was the end. Biden is too good to take advantage, but others besides Trump will.

There are two primary varieties of beans, arabica beans and robusta. An expresso bean (arabica) is generally darker (roasted longer) with more visible oil.

Steam may be okay for the wheat crust, generally when baking bread steam is applied in the initial rise period, but is generally turned off at the end for a dry final bake. The cheese is another matter. Ideally the cheese has to do more than melt, it should develop a partly caramelized appearance on the top (slightly brownish in places). Whether that would happen with this kind of oven is unknown.
