  • Sorry, if your parents are providing for more than 50% of your expenses they get to claim you as a dependent, and you only qualify based on your parents income.

Wouldn't apply if you're literally orphaned, but it can be rough trying to prove your parents disowned you, if they still claim you as a dependent for the tax breaks.

  • If you're getting 250/day and making $62.5k/yr and paying taxes, you're left with about $50k. Average rent is 1550/month in the US ($18600/yr). 30% of $50k is only $15000.

Working 8hrs a day at $31.25 per hr. (that's 4.3 times the minimum wage) still doesn't cover the 30% rule.

  • No, we would see an infection point on this chat if we were to make progress, even if we're not at net zero. The chart would at least be increasing at a decreasing rate, as opposed to the current trajectory increasing at a steady or even increasing rate.

  • I do see your point about pharmacists being a better analog for gun dealers, but Purdue pharmaceutical was also liable in the opioid crisis, and that would be a much better analog /equivalent for the manufacturer.

It doesn't work like that . . . In many cases the Manufacturer doesn't even know . . . Some of them certainly do

Maybe I'm misreading the 2nd paragraph, but it seems like you're saying: it doesn't work like that, except when it does
