I'm wondering now though whether the cost balances out because dry beans require a lot more energy to cook? I know they need at least an hour on the stove, whereas canned beans you can just add to a chilli etc straight away

Well the actor/ess thing refers to the actual genders of the people involved, not some randomly assigned gender to an inanimate object. The ship thing fair enough, but we don't have different articles just for ships.

Funnily enough though, in Germany they're mostly called Dackel, not Dachshund!

I'm very aware of its applications and how quick and painless the death is, however my comment isn't talking about the method but the act itself.

Apart from, you know, the whole 'killing another person' thing. I'd say that's pretty cruel.

For me it's less a case of 'I need this ambient music to fall asleep', and more a case of 'I enjoy listening to this ambient music and also I can fall asleep to it'.

It's changed a bit for me now, but when I was a teen I used to just whack on whatever I was listening to/enjoying at the time to fall asleep to, be it ambient, death metal, jazz, classical etc.

And as far as listening to people talking goes, that's nowhere near a 'this generation' thing. The sound of quiet voices murmuring on is just a naturally relaxing thing, think of a parent talking to their baby to get them to go to sleep.

I agree, I was providing a counter to their point rather than lamenting the fact!

This is what my sister told me too. I've not played 3 yet, but I've heard it's good. From the trailers it looks pretty different to the first two! Looking forward to that after I've finished 2, plus maybe its DLC if you'd recommend that?

Genuine question here, whenever these posts about browsers come up (which is very often) I never see anyone mentioning Opera. What's the reason for this? I seem to remember it being very popular with the tech crowd a number of years ago, that might be misremembering on my part!
