The claim that the salute has its origins in ancient Rome is dubious at best and ignores the fact that the salute is immediately associated with Nazism. Not a single Roman work of art depicts the salute. Don't you think that's a little fishy? There is evidence that it actually originated from the National Fascist Party, under Mussolini. Suffice to say there's no good evidence that it originated from ancient Rome as opposed to it being a relatively new thing starting from the turn of the 20th century and originating in fascism.
Hitler also did it. The only difference was that Elon Musk did so with more vigour. If he didn't mean to make a Nazi salute, why did he respond with Nazi puns rather than apologizing?
As an artist who had her art stolen for usage in AI, I hate AI generated images for several reasons. I've personally had my art stolen to be used in a prompt without my permission, and said art got mangled so much that it looked terrible. AI image generators scrape the internet for art so they can amalgamate these pieces of art together to correspond to a prompt, and this art is taken without the permission of the artists. In some AI generated images, the mangled remnants of artists' signatures are still visible. Beyond art theft, it's instant gratification with zero effort. A huge part of why I appreciate art is because someone made it, someone spent potentially hours to create this beautiful picture! When I look at my old art, I can instantly get a feel for what vibes I had going through my mind at the time, like I could almost take a peek into my past self's brain, and this applies to other artist's work too!
Prompting an AI image generator, in my eyes, is like prompting an artist to draw something for you, except that artist turns out to be someone who traces bits of other peopleβs art without their permission, or copy and pastes it. Sometimes AI generated images aren't immediately recognizable, so me and a lot of other artists have tried to make it a trend to post progress pictures and other receipts along with our art.
Pouring milk on top of the cereal means the cereal at the top is going to get pushed down a little and get soggy more quickly. Pouring milk over cereal is an atrocity that must be abolished.
Feeling really good! π I'm aiming to get my passport so I can travel the world. The destinations on the top of my list are all on different continents. I've already got so many plans laid out and I've been spending the past week or so mentally prepping myself by watching videos about airports. I haven't flown in a while and they're gonna be long haul flights!
My keyboard has two shift keys. I don't think I've ever used the right shift key, not even for usage with emulators for consoles with a lot of buttons... the modifier is always the left shift key since it's closest to my left hand and I can have my right hand on the other side where the arrow keys are. The arrow keys, WASD, Z, X, A, S, Q,W, 1, 2 etc have always been sufficient for most games.
I had my colour vision tested and I was able to pick out hues that would apparently look exactly the same to most people. To me they looked very distinct, but I was told that to most people, those hues would look exactly the same to one another.
I typically group colours by vibes and warmth and I don't normally shade white with grey, but with a warm or cool colour!
I'm honestly surprised that I somehow managed to miss that. There's also X AE A-XII, and there are some others that have an x in the name such as Exa Dark Sideræl Musk and Saxon Musk.
I don't know if this counts, but I'm getting ready to travel the world. I've got so many countries across different continents marked down that I want to visit, I just need to get my passport! π
