Earlier this year, I decided to engage with social media, so I searched for lists of social media websites and signed up on the ones I could find. Lemmy was on one of the lists and also happens to be one of the websites I enjoy the most! π
As others have said 256 GB really isn't very much if you're going to play modern AAA games on it. I got ARK on my computer which is around 200 GB and a lot of AAA games nowadays are at least a couple dozen GB, with some in the hundreds. It can be annoying having to pick and choose which games to wipe to free up space, so just a heads up!
Can confirm the thing about failing HDD's. Both of mine are failing but one is significantly worse than the other, things fail in certain parts, like entire folders, or just a few corrupt files. When I've had flash drives go bad it's catastrophic (which is why I have like five of them oop)
My friends, family, drawing, having a nice home to live in, good food and fun stuff to do β€οΈ I try and avoid negativity by searching for things I'm interested in to engage with, such as art, nature photography, cat photos, and videogames. Some websites let you tailor your feed to your liking!
I was surprised when I learned that Pikmin 3 is often disliked or even hated. It's shamelessly my fave game of the series. I get that the story is shorter than it should be and it's more linear but it has this charm that's unmatched, and I enjoy the graphics style so much that it inspired several facets of my artstyle even. Also the mission mode is just the right difficulty and a ton of fun!
You beat the "chonky" cyanobacteria. You think you're safe and you're going to use all that EXP on upgrading your armor, then suddenly you're greeted to a gigantic health bar which takes up the entire width of the screen, with the name "CHONKUS" above it.
edit: I didn't say that people drink ocean water, my point was about the ubiquitous nature of fluoride. The majority of life lives in the ocean, so if fluoride really was as toxic as some people say it is, there would be a lot less life on Earth. There are many lakes and other water sources that people have been drinking from for ages which naturally contain higher amounts of fluoride than what is in fluoridated tap water.
For drawing, definitely Paint Tool SAI! When I began drawing digitally, a friend gifted me two programs for me to use, Illustrator and Paint Tool SAI. I ended up settling on the latter. It is a very old program that got released in 2008, but it is lightweight, fast, stable, and has really good blending and pen stabilization options!
