  • Imagine the economy they could have if they gave a middle finger to the digital IP concessions they made.

  • Didn't they do this for a day for Vought's confirmation?

  • Some places won't allow any adoptions for a few days before Halloween. The one in a town over didn't let anyone adopt black cats for like 2 weeks in October.

  • If there is no command structure, how can you verify that the employees are legitimate. Arrest them and see who comes to try and bail em out.

  • There's also a lot of situations where there could be real legal implications via arcane administrative laws if they decide to sick the DOJ on them... We have seen already with Adams thing that they have no intention of the DOJ being impartial.

  • Is this the country the Princess Diaries are based on?

  • The least that could have happened was a massive protest. They stormed the Capitol without even having evidence that the election was stolen.

  • USPS isn't funded in the first place, the only funding to clawback is the electric vehicle grant.

  • Everyone certainly didn't know this. I got downvoted into oblivion for merely suggesting that this was more about Palestine than China.

  • They should have a plan E, which should actually be plan A, and dust off those old nuclear designs and build a bomb.

  • You act like there wasn't an entire propoganda arm dedicated to making people stay at home and or vote right. As a nation, we asked for this when we let the Brooks Brothers riot determine that Bush got elected, instead of the populace.

  • Not OP but... Lemmy, Tiktok, even mainstream media itself. There was clearly an agenda to make Biden look bad and Trump look good.

  • How do ads generate enough revenue to sustain themselves?

  • Because a third of Americans are uninformed, another third is misinformed and thinks the current administration is in line with their goals, the other third is being gaslit by the other 2/3s that this is normal... And for those not buying the gaslighting, they are ignored and still too small of a group to do much.

  • Eh, it entirely depends on the market. If your near mills or ports, a lot of stuff goes to a MRF (materials recover facility).

I have visited one and its pretty labor imtensive and gross. I am guessing most employees are undocumented because I can't imagine others doing the job for the pay. They basically spend all day picking stuff off a constant feed of garbage. It should be all recyclables, but in a lot of streams there is more trash than recyclables.

If a MRF is near a waste to energy plant, they can get like close to 99% landfill avoidance rates. If not, your essentially making people slave over seperating your recyclables that you could have done (at least before the entire country went single stream)

  • You know what's interesting is that the first real anti-vaxxers started because old vaccines would use pus from an infected cow. Something about it being unholy worship of cow or some nonsense.

Now the anti-vaxx crowd is all crying about synthetics... Can't make anyone happy.

  • I want comedy riffs. Have them all put together a tight five... Hours.
