  • It's certainly how you create volatility in the stock market...

  • Dry food is the worst between their diabetes risk and CKD risk.

  • I feel like that's the entire point of the article. These technological "solutions" are being forced on us more and more and they are often I'll conceived. Like QR ordering only systems.

  • Everytime Trump threatens tariffs they should out a one week export ban on literally everything to the US... That would really shock the system.

  • At this point I think it's just market manipulation. They are already going back on some of the tariffs.

  • Sounds good, I will have to try that. Sounds almost like a chicken gyro

  • What do you put in the pita wraps specifically?

  • That's the beauty, it's not just laying there. If security stops, mining stops. Make them pay for everything to setup in that deposit right between Donsk and Mariupol. Make the foreigners take all the risk and if they get bombed, they should have made a better deal.

  • Aren't there actually tiktok alternatives I'm the Fediverse, rather than suggesting something that's use case is different?

Edit: I meant to say Facebook alternatives...

  • Big holidays? America will be in a recession by Easter at this rate

  • Even if it adds up to 19 billion, it will never be that number. There are costs to terminating a contract, usually requiring compensation for all materials bought or produced, as well as overhead costs related to the contract. There is a reason that contracts exist and it's to disincentivize the dissolution of an agreement... Termination for convenience is not cheap.

That's not even getting into lawsuits related to direct employee terminations.

And at the end, this is for what? What benefit do we get from tearing up contracts that are half completed and half paid for? What benefit is there in laying off people that wanted to serve and in many cases took a pay cut to do it, knowing that the trafeoff is stability of their employer and the knowledge that they are helping the country.

  • Yeah but they were hampered by pesky laws and rules last time

  • Eh, as someone who knows a boat person its like only half that, the other half really, really like boats.

  • They tried to turn "entitlement" into a slur, but I don't hear it much anymore so I think that backfired on them.

  • Send him to Mars with a camera and he can vlog his adventure I am sure the reality shows revenue could offset some costs.

  • It could be like months away too based off them wanting to cut like a million fed jobs and dump a shitload of commercial real estate onto the market.

  • You mean in Ukraine? There are tons of other stuff to mine and even some rare earth outside of controlled area... It just is probably less profitable to mine. Here is a map

  • So there's a huge deposit between Mariupol and Donetsk, which is in Russian controlled territory. It's probably the easiest to mine and most economically viable... I think that was the original plan Zelensky was thinking. Get some American mining infrastructure there and then thr US has skin in the game.

Trump seems to have a survey of the entire countries rare earth resources and is just taking the entire estimated value and splitting in half. Which as you pointed out is stupid, because a lot of the deposits are smaller or would be much more expensive to mine.

  • For real. Democrats criticizing their own politicians is as old as the modern Democrats. That's part of the problem, everyone marches in lock step on the right and the left argues about every action their politicians take.

  • But isn't part of why we are here is because our Constitution is vague to some people, it's clauses without claws... What happens when the supreme court interprets the laws to be unconstitutional, whats to stop us from just doing this all again... People are not properly represented the electoral college, among many other things need to be fixed.
