  • I’m mostly talking about when you need to use JSDoc format which are usually for interfaces, so it’s usually just a chore for humans.

Probably harder to get good comments inside code, but it might still be possible.

  • Why wouldn’t it be able to? It can link similar code structure to data in its training set. Maybe the ones that aren’t at that level but it’s hardly a stretch to make these inferences. Most of the code you write is hardly novel.

  • Your code should generally be self documenting: Have variable and method names that make sense.

Use comments when you need to explain something that might not be obvious to someone reading the code.

Also have documentation for your APIs: The interfaces between your components.

  • You can definitely make some stealthy satellites.

I was thinking for release you could actually fold out wings/parachute to increase drag so it would deorbit faster and with less propellant.

Don’t think you can target a satellite with a laser, it’s too far away and you’d have to find it first.

But overall it doesn’t seem particularly efficient or useful.

  • There is another factor here which is the base energy level of a battery. LiPo batteries still have a relatively high base level, so even when discharged can still burn/explode. There are other battery chemistries that have a lower base and are therefore safer when fully discharged.

  • I mean it depends on what you’re looking for. For some the ability to have all the features they want and not have any small issues are worth the premium. You can choose what you value.

I think it’s a different argument where people buy products outside their means.

  • I remember writing a Tetris game for Android but this was in 2007 before we could actually get an Android phone so we only used an emulator and it was really really slow, like 0.5 fps.

I think I had a Galaxy S1 as well and it was fine. Probably got a few more Galaxies before switching to iPhone. Still use a Pixel frequently for work though.

  • Sure that does work but it’s not efficient.

Thermal solar generators do exist but they use a liquid as a heat transport mechanism. These use mirrors to focus the sun into a single point. In general you get more efficiency when there’s a larger temperature difference.

You could also get infinite energy by digging a deep hole since it gets hotter there deeper you dig. It’s just pretty expensive.

  • Basically when there’s a temperature difference been two different metals that are touching a small current is produced. You can also go backwards and use electricity to create a temperature difference (Peltier Effect).

They have niche applications because the effect is pretty small. Hardly a realistic substitute for solar panels that use the photovoltaic effect.

  • There’s definitely less valuable demographics but I doubt it would be completely worthless, you’d just be cheaper to advertise to.

I mean it might make it seem like you’re more valuable and then never buy anything, some companies would be paying more to show you ads but get less return, so you’d be costing them more money.
