Yeah? Manifest V3 wants to have a word with you and your completely independent de-googled Browser.
Some might be able to put in the work to delay the rollout but at one point anything not supporting V3 will just break compability, completely unintentional obviously.
Or mess with yourself when a very wrong person buys it and they've your IP logged countless times.
You might get away if you tell them that you were hacked, but there might be some trouble and a need for a new door.
One can only dream that these canceled 3rd party clients might join some day.
Hopefully some will be opensource or they decide to support any other platform.
It would've been great if they just collectively change to something else.
This is an old version which was for SteamOS devices,
the Steamdeck has a completely revamped OS which has not that much in common with the old one.
That SteamOS used Debian as base, the new SteamOS 3 Arch with countless of adjustments to make the usage of the Steamdeck a joy.
I really wouldn't install the old SteamOS as of now, there won't be an upgradepath because they use different bases, there are countless of better alternatives out there and maybe they will release SteamOS 3 for custom devices in the future.
That's something you'll lose with age and some self confidence, take your time, everyone else is taking yours too.
