  • Making them easily replaceable will create a market, a better one than we have today, almost any battery you can buy today as end-user are trash-tier.

Quality 3rd party batteries will rise up if the phone manufacturers fuck around.

  • Well that's the whole fun of 50 chromium forks, upstream which is chromium will fuck them up, they will make breaking changes just so that forks can finally not steer around it without putting heavy lifting in it.

  • I don't want a DE cluttered with 10k possible options which led to possible unstability. I want a stable DE and the ability to change it exactly how i want it.

The stability of KDE is there, but Gnome is much better. Good that we have the options

  • Switched from Plex a month ago because they don't stop corrupt their fucking DBs.

I could easily implement my cable receiver with an addon and M3U playlists, even with a stock installation can be imported too, i didn't try it but it looks very straight forward.

  • This is the second project i've seen this week where the dev claimed that there is no knowledge about UI/UX and it's just better than anything i've seen.

I start to think UI/UX classes may have shifted in a direction no actual user likes to use. That would explain some things.

  • I don't know how they are now, couple of years ago Backblaze was a nice deal. They are rather slow, but they have their backups.

Remember to encrypt before uploading, just in case, there are tools even checking if the backups are still valid and randomly download, decrypt and checks them. If you don't check your backups, you might as well don't do them.

I do my off-site backups of important data now with other people.
