Google has its issues as a company, but I’m pretty happy with symmetrical gigabit for $70.70 a month. I’m pretty sure 2 gigabit, and possibly 5, are also available at my location, but I’d have to upgrade all my network stuff to use that.

Loved that series. The only downside is it’s kind of depressing because, given that it’s set before the movie, you know how it ultimately has to end for the gelflings.

In the address bar of the Firefox app there’s a little icon that looks like a page with some lines on it. Tap that on any page to go to reader mode. Gets rid of most of this junk with a single tap.

Make sure you’ve got rules set in your router to redirect Roku’s hardcoded DNS to your custom DNS service.

Some ads can’t be eliminated - for example, if a service delivers ads through the same content servers that the show/movie is coming from.

Roku uses hardcoded Google DNS, so you’ll need to make some additional changes on your router to direct their 8.8.x.x addresses to your DNS service. Instructions at the below site are for Unlocator, but I think should work with any custom DNS.

I’d wager that the love of nature is not something a fair amount of Everest climbers give two shits about, or at the very least it’s nowhere near the “photo op” that’s at the top of their list of priorities.

As much as permits and stuff cost to summit Everest, we’re talking about people who have the kind of fuck-you-money that they’d probably just pay the fine rather than risk being seen doing any sort of domestic labor like trash picking.

This is why I run a browser plugin that hides the comment section on YouTube. There are rarely signs of intelligent life there, so I doubt I’m missing much.
