My partner has the best of both worlds - so called "agile" seating, and stern talks from HR if he works from home more than once a month or so (even if his direct manager is ok with it!).
Just assume they all are - I'd be willing to bet it would be the cheaper option than paying staff to sift through the reports then refunding the legit ones.
Winter = yay cute jackets and scarves, but oh no, I live in Australia and work from home and rarely go outside, so there are about three days where I do venture out and it's cold enough to wear my cute winter clothes.
On the coldest nights, I keep warm by thinking "at least it's not summer".
I'm living with my grandmother in law and she's just very fussy. Sometimes we think, I'd rather just pay rent somewhere, but we love her and she's unwell and we're saving money so we're all looking after each other for now and trying not to sweat the small stuff like hanging a television when we don't really need to.
I honestly haven't even asked, but I know what the answer will be - can't even leave the toaster that I use daily on the bench, has to go away once cooled. Getting to leave my coffee machine out was a bloody battle.
Her house, we live here for free and just pay our share of utilities and do our own groceries, and I help her if she is having a bad health day etc. It's fine. It's (mostly) worth the frustration.
I'm more annoyed with the limitations that renters experience in general - it's the landlord's property, but it's the renter's home, and sometimes it feels like we're never really allowed to make any place our own, what with all the rules and regulations and punishments.
ETA: "won't have a bar of.. ", ie she won't accept that sort of thing.
I'm absolutely horrified that tipping is still as high as 8% for those who do tip.
Get that absolute nonsense out of our country. It benefits no one and will only do great harm in the long run. Just look at the mess that is American hospitality.
I'm only using Chrome for work because the profile switching & syncing is so much smoother and our company is split into two primary brands - my brain handles it better with an individual browser profile for each.
We're consolidating everything into one next year, meaning I can ditch the second browser!
I've tried setting up a second profile but it was just too much effort to get it working and bring everything across from both, then do the same on my laptop for travel, so I'll just wait for now.
It's also helped me find the names of several books and films that have been rattling around in my mind, some for decades, which actually made me very happy because not remembering that sort of thing drives me a little mad.
I'm stuck on two books that it can't work out - both absolute trash pulp fiction, one that I stopped reading because it was so terrible and the other that was so bad but I actually wouldn't mind reading again.
The issue is the 4/20 (blaze it).
It also seems fake.
