  • You accidentally reuploaded the edit.

Since I'm already commenting: never stop doing this edits. I can't tell why, but I love them!

  • "Der klügere gibt nach" which directly translates to "the wiser one gives in" or more or less matches the idiom "it's better to bend than to break".

Growing up I heard this a lot and it's mostly use to silence those who have (well-founded) objections. Took me a while to realize that this leads to us following the stupid because they don't give in which subsequently makes the wise one the stupid one.

  • At least the baggy says "contact lens case".

  • Far stretch but this could be about people wearing band shirts without knowing the band and others getting offended about it?

  • At least for me these articles are a bit annoying since it seems that businesses world wide give a shit about the consequences of their actions but news outlets decided to pin the issue on the consumer.

Don't get me wrong. I think consumers are at least partially in charge when it comes to decisions about their consuming behavior. And reducing the meat intake is something that is not too hard and can improve the health for some people. But propagating this as the solution to our climate problem and on top not looking into the effect of lower income on nutrition / eating behavior makes me angry. The article just briefly mentions that the government has no success in influencing the prices through taxes.

At least here in Germany meat is so unbelievably cheap that it's very understandable people got used to eating it on a daily base. And it's hard to change this without businesses like supermarkets supporting this with price changes (meat up vegetables down) and an increase in minimal income since environmentally friendly food is currently more expensive than "garbage food".

  • Saw this right before therapy today mfw when therapist asks me to give comfort to my younger / inner self 💀

  • I want to see you do this with mentos and coke!

  • Can you give me an estimate of how many similarly disturbing facts I'd have to expect there. I'm not sure if I can do this •́  ‿ ,•̀

  • Thanks for sharing your story. One of my guy friends is the Hagrid Type. Big, hairy, loud. But he also tries to break through his appearance. And I think that's the whole point:

Instead of telling "not all men" it's better (but also more difficult) to show us. Be nice. Hold other men accountable. Things can be changed but first we have to face reality.

It also saddens me to hear about the manly loneliness that's caused by the same internalized sexism. I'm glad to hear you found a way out of this, that still lets you be you!

  • Some countries in Europe started to look more into this topic since the number of femicides is growing and becoming more newsworthy it seems.

A lot of people are biased since sexism is deeply rooted in our society and many don't realize what's happening around them if they are not directly affected.

Just this week I had to discuss with a rather aggressive delivery person who berated me (unprovoked and for a made up reason) until my partner came from another room. As soon as he had to discuss his issue with another man he started to believe the facts and stopped. Actually kinda glad this happened since my partner is also very biased regarding "everyday sexism" since it doesn't affect him and this was the first time he was able to see it first hand.

  • You have to hide yourself between vegetables and breadcrumbs as well, but then it should work I guess ¯(ツ)_/¯

  • Ever heard of "Maultaschen"?

One of their origin stories is, that a monk created them so he can secretly eat meat on Fridays. Since the meat was cut very small and "hidden" in the dough between vegetables and other stuff, God wouldn't be able to see it. That's why it's also called "Herrgottsbscheißerle" in swabian which roughly translates to "small cheater on God".

  • Are you living on a dumpster or really that naive, that you think your waste is staying where you leave it?

  • Fahrgemeinschaft jetzt!

  • I have very fond memories of playing Freddie Fish in our local library while my father thought I was going to children's choir stuff (I hated it and was hanging out in the library instead, just to be back in time, when my father came to pick me up again).

  • And the Royal Mail Group also includes GLS which is a direct (but comparatively small) competitor of DHL.

Maybe a mix up in the original comment..

  • Can assure you, we already did that 20 years ago.

  • There is no organization Antifa. It's an ideology. So if you are against the ideology of anti fascism, what are you for?

  • Listening to what those people say on the news, I get the feeling they are familiar with this, they know it, but they don't care because they feel like they can profit from it. CxU parties are very far from what the "Christian" in their name would suggest.
