  • Also it’s a glorious time to be alive. We’re ramping up our rocket launch capabilities in order to prosecute a glorious crusade against the Xenos, no matter where they hide.

    Just as the Jesus intended.

  • Nope, I’m pretty sure I’m reading their opinion right

Instead of providing any concrete proof that “harm is imminent,” White v. Florida, 458 U. S. 1301, 1302 (1982) (Powell, J., in chambers), the Government offers a series of hypothetical statements that a covered official might want to make in the future and that, it thinks, might be chilled. Application 36–38. But hypotheticals are just that—speculation that the Government “may suffer irreparable harm at some point in the future,” not concrete proof. White, 458 U. S., at 1302 (emphasis added). And such speculation does not establish irreparable harm. Nken, 556 U. S., at 434; see also Clapper v. Amnesty Int’l USA, 568 U. S. 398, 414, n. 5 (2013) (rejecting similar speculation as insufficient to establish an Article III standing injury).

  • TLDR for why the conservative justices have their opinion: they state they can’t understand why broad undefined rules would inhibit free speech.

It’s generally understood that if rules are broad and undefined, then speakers will prefer to self censors proactively, thus limiting speech.

  • Closer to, cellular networks were never designed for privacy but ensuring you have a signal in the first place.

It’s a horrible coincidence that a system that can beam data to your location also knows your precise location. Almost like laws should have been passed for privacy decades ago, but the lawmakers at the time were still complaining about nobody using telegraphs anymore.

  • Regardless of it being a bad idea, it’s convenience completely overwhelmed any privacy considerations. As far as I can tell, we’re marching towards a cashless future with the last dam being politicians need for untraceable cash themselves. But those old politicians are being replaced by family dynasties who have replaced cash payments with favors for their son’s wife’s firm.

  • This is the reason that banks can’t even roll out MFA beyond a text message. Everybody uses a bank, less people use Netflix. The customer support headache if only 0.1% of people have to call in defeats any cost savings, and they already are ready to write off a lot of losses due to crime etc

  • This meme might only resonate with half of the night shifters. Possible that night shift is crazy and day shift is uneventful.

Shower given people do crazy shit at night with less mental energy, I find this meme correct
