  • Kurt Cobain I'm not sure, but the likes of Giorgio Moroder or Led Zeppelin definitely pioneered and excelled in their field and have as chance of joining the canon of "forever" remembered legends. We have to remember that in the times of William Shakespeare there were many successful writers, or in Beethoven times - remarkable composers. Only the pioneers and persons of interests made it to modern general consciousness.

  • Some say he is held against his will in The European Organization for Nuclear Research in Switzerland, commonly known as CERN. Apparently, his sacrifice made a a giant leap in the field of Condensed Dark Matter.

Human Right activists are fighting for his immediate release, both from the imprisonment and for his bowels.

  • Really interesting! Thanks!

  • Wow didn't know that - do you have a source for this?

Some words I can easily imagine replacing with synonyms, but how were people describing stuff like "exposure" or "suspicious" before Shakespeare, I'm dumbfounded :D

  • I wouldn't agree with it but it's definitely an unpopular opinion :D

To some extent, it might be the case that he is a little overhyped - but I would argue any artist that is so popular, is in danger of being overhyped. I only read "Romeo and Juliet" and "Hamlet" from his work, and I can appreciate his workshop - it's really good stuff that survived for many years and remained valid.

But to each their own - art is meant to serve you - if you don't like it, move on and try something different. Definitely better way of going on about things rather than sticking to it, and pretending to like it in fear of being laughed at for a simple reason of sticking out of the crowd.

  • Question is, did they lower the projector to a groin level or did he stand on a stool to test it out.

  • I will allow it.

  • That's what a rentoid would do...

Please refrain from further packaging up my comments into alphabetical order, or I will take legal action.

  • Never mind - I had the "Show Read Posts" unticked...

  • Spoken like a true rentoid

  • This feature is long gone, at least I've not encountered it in a long time, but background music.

Holy cow, how I hated those 🤣

  • Finally somebody decided to put on paper what philosophers only dared to dream about

  • Something went extremely wrong

  • DON'T do what I've done a couple of weeks ago - landed me my first HR meeting ever :D

I had to use my coworkers (lady around 50, not too clever with the computers) computer on remote desktop. As I was about to close it, I thought to myself "Perfect setup for a joke". On her computer, I went to https://pranx.com/hacker/ and put in on full screen. Literally like 30s later, our IT guy (he's in the same room as me) get a phone call and all I can hear is shouting in the earpiece. I say to him don't worry, I know what's this about, I'm going to sort it out. I went downstairs and boss's wife is running past shouting that we need to phone the police, I walk into the lady's room and she's hysteric. I say cool down, it's a joke.

Safe to say, they were not laughing (probably the fact that I still was, wasn't helping my case :D)

  • Last time I researched this, I came to the following conclusions:

    1. Salmonella lives on/in the hard shell part of an egg (not penetrating it) so unless you consume the shell, you should be fine
    2. If an egg has a lion stamp on it (UK only I think) it means that the farm it came from is certified not to have salmonella
    3. I ate raw eggs (including shell) on many occasion (not really a party trick but I like to shock people every now and then :D) and never have I ever encountered any unpleasantries because of this (apart from them tasking like runny boogers).
  • Weird, when I go into Instances, it only shows lemmygrad and exploding heads in the Blocked Instances. Threads.net is still in the Linked Instances column. Is this correct?

  • Even pictures I imagine can amass to something.

I was just wondering in case it's a big sum, and I'm just leeching off of somebody :D I do enjoy the idea of free internet, with the decentralised open source software running it, but I do understand that at some point, somebody gotta get paid - wether you pay with your data or actual money. More and more I try not to pay with the first, so I make sure that I pay my dues wherever needed.
