  • As if giving it all to Comcast and Spectrum for the 47th time will make things any better? Starlink is actually something accessible for a lot of these people, while legacy ISPs just pocket the money and claim its too hard to serve rural customers.

  • Why are literally every single one of your Lemmy comments about oil or green energy? Do you really expect people to believe that you're being genuine with any of this, especially with this half-assed non-reply to such a lengthy comment?

  • So costs are out of control, but wages are at an appropriate level? That doesn't really make much sense logically. The actual values don't matter as much as the disparity between the two. If the minimum wage were $100/hr, a house costing $400k wouldn't be an issue. Similarly, if the minimum wage were $2/hr while homes cost $8k, that also wouldn't be an issue.

Also, drinking a ton of water and eating before bed helps too.

  • I don't see how this would fix the problem as agencies like the FBI, ICE, CBP, and ATF also commit rights violations and other atrocities on the public. Furthermore, it's impossible to sue federal officers for misconduct, unlike state and local police. This just seems like a way to have even less accountability when compared to a local police force controlled by local politicians.
