  • You could only spend $5 a month using a credit card and still build up a good credit score/history by paying it off each month. Whether credit cards exist or not, your financial situation is still going to be the same, so you might as well use them to your advantage.

  • I think more competition is good, but it's highly unlikely that the behemoth Microsoft would provide the type of competition that would really benefit the consumer. More likely they'd be competing against Apple and Google to see who could extract the most money and data out of their users.

  • I quit watching probably a year or two before that when I started to realize that he's just one of those people who speak confidently so you assume they're correct when in reality they're just good at BSing people and may or may not even know what they're talking about.

  • Not sure what initially caused your issue but try throwing a G92 E0 into your start gcode right after homing and also after any purge line you may have setup.

I've encountered this same error when trying to recover failed prints by restarting them at the failed layer. If you don't tell the extruder it should already be some distance through the print, it throws out the exact same error. Since you're starting at '0' it needs to be told that.

  • I think it's a safe prediction considering the number of large manufacturers that have gone under between then and now leaving us with just the Galaxy, IPhone, and Pixel outside of remaining 'boutique' manufacturers that don't really sell any volume.

  • Doctors prescribing painkillers is exactly how this got so bad. As someone who came of age in the mid '00s and watch this all start unfolding firsthand in many of my peers, 100% of them began their addiction using prescription painkillers like Vicodin, Percs, and Oxy. Literally all of us knew someone selling them, family members who had extra and would give them out, friends/coworkers who'd share with you, etc because they were so easy to get a (or multiple) prescriptions for and you could sell the rest.

I know personally at least half a dozen people who wound up ODing and dying. I know at least two dozen more who battled through it, did jail, did rehab, lost jobs, or became homeless. Many made it through and stopped using, but now 5, 10, or 15 years later still have the cloud hanging over them and have to actively manage the cravings.

If you're a 'legit patient' and you turn to heroin just because you can't get painkillers, you're already addicted to opioids. That's not driving the issue, it is the issue.

  • They're only valuable for scalpers because they're so hard to get. If they wouldn't constantly put business orders above consumer orders, the demand for scalping would evaporate just like it has for every other consumer electronic device. People aren't selling PS5s for $1000 anymore because you can just go buy one from the store.

  • You forgot the step where we genocide all the livestock on the planet in order to prevent them from eating feed from crops. It's hilarious to read arguments from people who think they're being morally superior while advocating for Thanos-level solutions.
