  • In my experience, files are named pretty well these days to include resolution, source, the actual title and release year, video format, audio format, language, and release group.

Try looking at the way music files are named and you'll see how awful naming conventions can get.

  • The footage is already out there. These seems like an information dump under the guise of transparency. It's like when a corporation gets sued and has to release records so they send 20 million pages of documents to the plaintiff, far too much to actually wade through.

  • Let us not forget how these same publishers used to price gouge us on these CDs before we had any legitimate alternatives. In the '90s, they'd charge $20-$25 for an album with 10 songs on it, most of them filler. With inflation, that'd be equivalent to $40-$50 today.

  • Absolutely not and this is the shit that infuriates me about the Dems as a lefty. Too much lip service and not enough concrete action.

If you ever criticize the president, someone will undoubtedly give a long list of similar 'actions' as accomplishments to claim that you're foolish for the criticism.

  • That was obviously tongue-in-cheek pointing out the flaw in saying "let's just cut usage." A majority of industry uses that energy to support the human population. You can't just cut it off. It's an untenable solution just like reducing the population to 100 million.

  • I'm all for renewables but keep in mind a nuclear plant can produce 24/7 regardless of conditions while many renewables cannot. I don't see an issue with diversification here rather than pointlessly advocating for a one-size-fits-all solution.
