It sucks that, in this situation there are sides, but “picking a side” in the debate, realizing you made people mad and responding by sticking your head in the sand is a great way to piss off everyone that cares. Either they really don’t care and did it as a marketing stunt or they did care until it affected their money. Either way, they showed just how soulless AB is.

Dual booting Windows XP and Ubuntu 12.04 on my parents desktop.

I would bet that they aren’t losing as much money as other companies would. Valve made their own OS for the Steam Deck. Asus and Lenovo made similar devices, but they both run Windows and have to pay Microsoft licensing fees.

It’ll be really interesting if Valve opens up a partner program with other OEMs to allow things like firmware updates through SteamOS on more devices than just the Deck. I think then, we’d see at least $500 competing consoles to the Deck.

The kids a shithead and deserved about 10 times more the prison sentence he got, but he did not start the night planning to kill 4 people with his friends. It was an accident, completely and absolutely preventable and one he is solely responsible for and should have gone to prison for his negligence, but an accident.
