  • Constantly amused at how hard android users defend their choice and act like it's iPhone users doing the same.

Always reminds me of the way right wing / Trump supporters behave. They are obsessed with liberals and the Democratic Party in then same way android users are obsessed iPhone users and Apple.

As an iPhone user, I spend no time thinking about android users and I certainly don't post threads looking for others to validate my purchase.

  • Following the links it's 20%-30% -- it's about 360-540 users if there were 180,000 sold as the analyst predicted.

I would bet some percentage of those only chose that option because they didn't want to admit they bought it with the intent to return it but it's pointless to speculate without knowing how this compares with other similar product launches.

  • People are fucking stupid. Every last one of you who thought they were going to raise prices is a moron that believes anything you read from other morons.

They were planning on adding discounts that only applied during off peak times. It sounds like they still are planning to do this. You fucks literally almost stupided your way out of saving money by being stupider than anticipated.

I hope none of you have brokerage accounts because none of you have the intellect required to source stock information.

This is how the rich get richer. It is is literally impossible to underestimate the intelligence of the average consumer and they long ago figured out how to profit from it.

  • Actually, it's not a leap because it's neither upwards or forwards.

The orbit is already ahead of our count so we add a day is moving us backwards along the orbital count.

If we removed a day then that missing day would be a leap day as we leap over it to the next day in the calendar.

So really this is the non-leap since we're counting it, it's all the other years that don't have a 29th that are leap years because we're leaping over the 29th day of February.

  • Are you a boomer or were you raised by a boomer because I call bullshit. The "me" generation could have done a lot of things and didn't do any of them.

Most of them don't actually love their children. Not the way we mean it today. The children were left to figure it all out on their own. Ask any gen X or older millennial.

Children weren't outside because people were less fearful, they were locked out of the house and forced to fend for themselves.

The only loving families for most were those portrayed in television.

  • No, I'm good. I'm not here to make friends. I'm not even expecting to challenge anyone's techno-religion. At best I would say this is devil advocacy but it's not quite that since it's not about what I believe or do not believe. But it's about what others believe and the display of fervent belief in others intrigue me, especially where it exists in the face of clear unambiguous reality.

For example, Trump supporters fascinate me in this same way. People say being nice is a better approach there as well, but i am not trying to deal with them or change their minds either. In that situation I refer to it as stick poking.

Again, it's the belief that intrigues me. The sociology behind it is understudied.
