The auto industry has been struggling for a few years, tariffs may have been the nail in the coffin that accelerated layoffs, but they've been coming for a while.

Manufacturing left the US as well paid, benefit rich union jobs. IF any manufacturing returns to the US it will be no benefit, barely higher than average pay, menial labor.

Part of the success of the tea party was the DNC constantly pushing the party to the right. And as they pushed rightward the RNC kept going further to the right. No one that's a potential threat to the party or party leadership are ever given any positions of power to threaten their existence until they fall in line.

Pointing out their failures leaves a bad taste in their mouth so they lash out.

If you want an idea of what I project AOC becoming, go watch Pelosi's videos on C-SPAN when she was a jr house member in the 70s. They sound identical. No one is put into positions of power and influence within the party until they tow the party line.
