For those confused like I was, it's 150 cities in 32 states.

Here's my take. I grew up in the Cold War. I saw no way out. Figured we were all done, with a state of permanent Cold War until an inevitable Hot War that ends it all. And then, very suddenly, in 1989, the Cold War was over. No nuclear explosions, no cities vaporized. Just a new and hopeful future.

And now, here we are today. I see no way out of the climate crisis, and it's depressing. But I haven't forgotten the lesson I learned from the Cold War. Just because I can't see a way out, it doesn't mean there isn't, or that there won't be. I don't know how, but I've seen it before, humanity's disaster somehow averted out of nowhere. Doesn't mean we'll skip climate disaster. Just means that just because you don't see a way out right now, there still may be a way, and we should all work toward such a future.

I'm not sure where I land on this debate.

What I am sure of is that most teachers would still have cell phones, so the idea that kids couldn't make a call to emergency services doesn't seem relevant. I'm sure a call from any teacher or other employee would be just as effective. Claiming kids need phones so that they can call 911 in an emergency isn't relevant.

The fact that we have to discuss whether or not kids need to have phones available during school because of school shootings -- that's the truly insane part. I'm no longer convinced that any body count would produce effective "well regulated" gun control in the US.

Similar question, what if you retract the invite after they've already entered the home?

I'm not saying it isn't correct, but the US having an extradition treaty with Cuba is a bit suspicious.

Maybe someone should remind Trump that these guys are losers who got captured and made him look bad. The thing is, he's awfully easy to manipulate. If enough people start talking about pardoning the losers, he'd probably drop the idea like a hot potato.

Sometimes you just have to turn off expectations towards the story and accept that a movie is worth watching because it is pretty. I first learned this lesson with Speed Racer, but Valorian is another big title for me that falls into this category.

I did not enjoy the sequels, but Solo? Yeah, that is a solid fun time. I even have a Solo T-shirt that I still wear on occasion.

My favorite is a Galaxy bar. Yorkie is a good secondary.

I've just recently started playing through Wasteland 3. Been trying to start up Civ VI, but it appears as though Steam has broken it on my Mac, so I will need an alternative alternative. Maybe something from my Epic or GOG library, so my kids don't leave me out of luck when they want to use the Steam library, too.

Of all the explanations offered, I think this one, pathetic as it is, is the most likely correct answer.

Fun fact: someone correct me if I'm wrong (it's the Internet, I really don't need to ask), but as I understand it, Frank Baum's "The Wizard of Oz" was some sort of allegory/statement in support of the silver standard. Dorothy's ruby slippers were only that color for the benefit of film, and in the book, they are silver, symbolizing silver as the way to fix all the problems. I don't remember what the other things symbolized. But since "Wicked" is popular at the moment, I thought I'd share.
