I wouldn't go so far as to say they were defending themselves, but they certainly earned the right to a retaliatory strike. Whether the obvious ineffectiveness of their strike was a bug or a feature is up for debate. I, personally, think they knew what they were doing.

As for the sanctions, from US politics, there are a few countries who can never do anything correct, e. g., Iran, Cuba. And one that can do no wrong, e. g., Israel. It's asinine, but that's how it is.

It's not as simple as people pretend. But not all that complicated, either. 65 was the "full" retirement age before law changes in the 80s. For most workers today, it's 67. But wait! The amount you will get per month from social security depends on 2 things -- how much you paid into the system, and what age you actually are when you retire. You can start collecting at 62, but it will be considerably less per month than if you retire at the full retirement age. And to confuse things more, you can keep working until 70(?) and the amount you will get continues to increase every month, so I'm not sure why full retirement age is 67 instead of 70.

I mean, if they pull it off, I'll be impressed, but it seems like the "why?" is something they should answer before this project is undertaken. Sure, it could be used to power a moon base or something else, but I would expect that need for a power source to be the lead, not the power source. And if they don't really know why yet -- it's an extremely expensive solution looking for a problem.

Anyone recall how Trump harped on Biden being too old in the last election? And now he's older than Biden was then? It drives me crazy that the demented fool Trump thinks he's a spring chicken relative to Biden, when they're practically the same age. Oh, and all the other things drive me crazy, too. But if it truly is superior, won't I as a consumer favor those recordings with spatial whatever it is by listening to them more, thereby encouraging the producers with more money because of the increased streaming over the others? Surely making such recordings a favored class where payments are concerned is just a form of double dipping?

Speaking of that "if," I'm prepared to hope there's a McHeartattack headed his way long before his first 4 years of his lifetime appointment, if it comes to that. But I'm really, really hoping I never have to come to that point.
