But Trump's rabid followers don't really like Musk either. If Trump would declare him an enemy, he would be gone pretty quickly. Not without causing a lot of (further) damage in the process of course.

Speaking for the Russia part, he owed 400 million to Deutsche Bank (https://www.businessinsider.com/trumps-secret-ugly-breakup-with-deutsche-bank-revealed-2022-10) which was his biggest single lender and which just happens to be the same bank which also funneled billions of Russian dark money offshore (https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/08/29/deutsche-banks-10-billion-scandal). Just a coincidence no doubt.

Hey, people think Hitler's Germany was a success story until he started to loose the war but it was actually a clusterfuck right from the beginning and doomed to fail from the start.

Fun fact: Under Hitler, while there was an economic boom (due to production switching to war preparation), wages fell on Great Depression levels and workers had to work a lot more hours. Germany was also deeply in debt, because most of this was financed by crazy lending from other countries, which Hitler had no intention of paying back.

Yep, Vance is in a way more dangerous than Trump. Trump might throw wrenches in the fascists' plans by either blurting them out proudly thinking it was his idea or by being too afraid of being unpopular (which he is obviously obsessed with) and taking back some of the changes due to public pressure. Vance on the other hand will be just a hand puppet for Putin and/or Musk.

There are a lot of old people who vote CDU because "that's what we have always done". Many people don't bother to read what the parties actually stand for. If they are told, they often don't believe it. Same with protest voters choosing the fascist AfD "to show those corrupt politicians on top". Meanwhile AfD is the most corrupt party of all, by far.

As a European, I would say a US president repeatedly theatening a EU country with invasion is already pretty serious in itself.
