  • Let's be honest, cars suck at that too and that's why we're perpetually dealing with traffic and widening roads.

But let's take Phoenix AZ, the premium suburb sprawl. The light rail is pretty damn good and with a bike it's pretty painless evern if you need to get a mile or two from the light rail.

The main issue with using bikes like this is all the big ass cars and drivers who will not share the road. If we had dedicated bike infrastructure leading to rail it would work just fine even with suburban sprawl.

I know this because I did this on the light rail in Phoenix.

  • That's why the first intercontinental travel was trains. Over distance trains a substantially more efficient than car because of rolling resistance and differentials.

That's why I say the laws of physics don't apply because we do the objectively worse thing because the government hates building infrastructure.

The US for instance is about the same size as China yet China has lots of rail because the government will focus on infrastructure.

  • Are you're saying competition doesn't exist because products aren't the same?

I'm trying to not disparage your argument here but if I go with your reasoning then I feel like there is no competition so that you can justify prices not going down. Where I believe competition simply doesn't lower prices because capitalism desires more profit not less profit. Why fight over scraps when you can create a market by manipulating people into thinking: Green chat bubble mean poor so me no use RCS or open blue bubble because green bubble mean poor.

If competition didn't exist for apple then they could give android an imessage app.

  • They certainly do compete with each other but it's just a general misconception that competition lowers prices.

Pepsi and Coke have been competing with each other for decades and Coke has larger market share. So why doesn't Pepsi just lower prices? Pepsi even has the diversified income of doing more than drinks. Lowering prices doesn't lead to market share and Coke can just match the price.

Look at Apple's growth in the American market, they can sell a product that is significantly more expensive than competitors and still gain market share.

  • They said you could bring things in so I suppose you could bring the air with you.

After a quick googling it looks like the average person breathes 20-30 cubic meters of air a day.

But a server wouldn't care about oxygen in the air just the heat.

  • My concern with this is they said nothing about the exchange of air or heat in this space. Such a small space would get very warm pretty quickly and with it not touching anything it would retain the heat. The air would also not exchange unless you manually did it making it eventually suffocate you.

  • They have over 450 employees and operate in six different countries. I don't know what DnD would be worth but it's not like Larian is small.

Logically I think it makes more sense for Larian to want to buy the video game rights specifically as anything beyond that would be outside their scope.
