  • Probably the same mentality as taxes/healthcare

    It's always "I shouldn't have to pay for everyone else's healthcare 🤬🤬🤬"

But never "everyone pays less than they already are into healthcare and the actual service becomes free for everyone but wealthy people don't make billions of dollars off your need to live"

  • Gamify

    Jump
  • I feel like his advice is really only applicable if the tasks are received pre-gamified, otherwise it's just the same task with double the work:

    Here's a list of tasks

    but it's boring and tedious

use the content of the list to create a game with structure that ties individually completed tasks to generate automatic, immediate, output/result/gratification

Begin accomplishing gamified list tasks <---- (should be starting here)

    Finish quickly due to gamification.

That whole approach ain't gonna work on someone with ADHD. If it isn't received pre-gamified, I'm not gonna do a bunch of extra work before I can start the actual work.

"The hack to being unable to start a task, is to start an additional, more complicated task" - No

"The best way to get an ADHD brain to quickly accomplish simple task lists is by having accomplishments provide immediate results/rewards" - Yes

  • Isn't this how Walmart failed in Germany?

Basically the "roadmap to success" used in other countries failed in Germany/Europe mostly because that "success" was only achievable through "human rights abuses" and "violating labor laws" that aren't troublesome in parts of the world where labour rights are neutered at every opportunity, and large portions of the population people are too impoverished to afford necessities elsewhere

  • I've wondered about this, killing the "company" never really seemed like that big of a deal, as the structure (both physical building/tool/systems and operationally) don't simply vanish. You still have the knowledge and skillsets in the population, and the supply chains still exist.

The real problem with these "too big to fail" entities is that the people pulling the levers that cause failures never have any consequences whatsoever.

Yeah, you'll always need banks, energy, transportation, defence etc - operational mechanisms for exchanging goods, building, buying etc will never go away or 'fail' - but their operational practices absolutely could and should change

I'm so sick of the wealth class abusing absolutely everything to guarantee themselves more money than they could ever spend.

  • I doubt it'll ever actually happen, but I'd love to see news/media stop using (R) for Republicans and change it up to (W) for weird.

Similar to when (probably satire) Ted Cruz was listed as as (R - Cancun), can't seem to find the image I'm thinking of, so if anyone else has it please link!

  • Even if he had suspicions, he'd been in service for 24 years, which is huge.

If I worked for someone for 24 years and they looked like they wanted to go fight overseas, I'd absolutely consider retirement as well.

Service to your country isn't accomplished exclusively by going overseas to shoot people.

Republicans are literally speed running a 100% completed anti-christ identity. Not even in the specific 'end of days antichrist', but like literally, specifically, the complete opposite of absolutely everything their Christian deity Jesus stood for.

  • Trump saw how much traction JFK got with admitting he had brain worms, so Trump switched out his Ivermectin bleach formula and started a diet of parasite filled meats that are now taking hold

Seems like a weird thing to do.

  • My tinfoil hat theory is that Drones are far better at mass surveillance than current emergency alert systems, so while the advantage over the existing emergency alert system is probably negligible - it opens the door for people accepting having drones everywhere and constantly overhead which is the real goal.

For a second layer of tinfoil, having a strong drone presence (production, infrastructure, technology) in the economy seems like it will be very useful for future wars. Whoever has the largest and smartest swarm wins

  • Honestly, I've almost noticed the opposite for about 2 months now - but I only use mobile browser with no account so it may not be a fully accurate experience.

The main reason for this opinion is that I'm Canadian, and until recently the super right wing echo chamber bot farm Canada_Sub, no longer appears on my popular/hot in Canada feed and has been replaced by the far more left wing Onguardforthee.

The 'Sub' group went private, then back to public but it's no longer being pushed on my feed.

In general, I'm definitely seeing less right wing talking points for Canadian content, not sure if that's due to the overall algorithm, or if admins have been cracking down on bots and the right wing Canadian subreddits don't have enough traction without them to crack relevance.

Maybe reddit is taking it's content more seriously with all the AI content scraping they're about now. Their content won't mean squat if it's polluted by bot content like other social media.

  • I also ANAL, but I digress

Not doing something because "Trump will claim it as a win/innocence for himself" is bad. Some things may not be worth pursuing because it won't convince anyone of anything new, but Trump claims everything is his personal win. He could completely, graphically, undeniably, soil himself in front of everyone and he'll call it a victory of innocence to pwn the left and his fans will scream for more. Weird.

He has flagrantly lied about objectively provable facts (daily/hourly) and nobody who is voting for him cares.

Weather a trial is high stakes, low stakes, or no stakes, reality is whatever Trump says it is.

Anyone still on the fence should be exposed to as much J6 imagery, rhetoric, and traito(R) flopping between the rioters being FBI Antifa plants, and also RNC diarama prayer props. True patriots to be prayed over, and who will be immediately pardoned in a second Trump presidency.

The general protest and subversion of Facisim in all its forms should always be endorsed.

  • I figured there might be something along the lines of being limited to purchases and anything used to service debt would become cash in the eyes of CC company, which does have significantly worse terms

    Thank you for the insight!

  • Yeah, it's pretty much the idea of kiting but without intention for scamming/lying - just hoping to take advantage of the difference in how interest is applied to debt without breaking the law.

Considering there is still risk involved (bank/CC get paid either way, and miss timing the transaction results in interest payments to them) its more of a risk tolerance approach than scam/fraud, but I don't doubt the Bank's diligence in protecting their assets.

Hopefully they can do a debt consolidation, and get a better rate, but with interest rates where they are I am not sure it would be much better than line of credit

  • Super happy that strong unions in gaming are becoming a thing. Modern games are absolutely massive undertakings, and well made games provide so much more than just a one-off revenue stream that is often ignored by executives as business exists solely for money at the top.

A union made game that's allowed to take the time it needs to be fully cooked will probably be the most popular/best game in the (any) franchise.

Unfortunately it will probably make 10% the money of some Fallout mobile game they churned out over a weekend that lets you buy a gold vault suit that doesn't do anything for $4.99.

I don't have a problem with companies making money off the free to play (and pay to win) model, but it's sad to see them mistreat the IP that generates a dedicated fan base because the only thing that matters is immediate profit - which will hopefully be heavily mitigated by a union.

  • Not saying there wouldn't be more, but at least two Democrats are Republicans who ran under D and sabotaged several democratic agendas.

It would have been great to have the Democrats tow the party line and pass more meaningful legislation, but corrupt politicians gotta corrupt.
