  • Lots of American food companies use recipes on the box to give the buyer an idea of what to make. This was a part of American food packaging going back to the Depression; learning to work with what we had was the lesson of the period. It was a time of searching for what was cheap and learning how to make it palatable.

  • 31mg is weak for a grown adult human. That means the average shows widespread low-level use OR high volumes for very low numbers, which is how it's supposed to be when a patient has poor circulation from a lack of motion.

  • That only works if the dough is fresh out of the fridge. If the dough has time to warm up then that outer layer is structural and beginning to peel it will explode the dough in one's hands. It is a nasty surprise.

  • Undiscussed but Polgar helped disprove eugenics. His program proved it wasn't an undeclared genetic trait within the person but the environment they were raised in that proved exceptional individuals can emerge from anywhere.

  • The merger isn't supposed to help consumers. It's to help businesses that are incapable of keeping up and need support. The Japanese government has a history of merging companies together to ensure that they stay competitive. MITI did it in the 70s to Japanese technology companies like Sony, Sharp, Panasonic, etc. most of those are still around today and even leading the industry.

Again, this isn't to help any consumers.

  • And the ads worked. The audience for those ads became emblematic of the type and grew up objectifying women because they had 40 years of game art and ads telling them it was okay.

"Women don't mind being a piece of equipment because they just have 2 uses, and one is nagging! Amirite?"

This is what most likely has set so many misogynistic ideas as 'gamer culture'. That toxic base is what found their identity as hard core gamers and became the game community that we recognize today. It's getting much better now that the stereotype of videogames has faded but the incel comments about female protags shows it isn't fully healed.
