That's not how predetermination works. Just because there is an explosion does not mean that every particle has a preset location it must reach to enact a grander outcome of the combustion. Atheists don't suffer from a need to have decisions rendered by an omnipotent being or a universe that is some stand-in for that being. There is no grand plan. The Big Bang was not some kick off for a well thought out schematic.

This is Trump, the same guy who thought that the best way to make COVID numbers go down is to stop recording COVID cases. He has the most rudimentary grasp on cause and effect that his solution to not enough eggs is to remove all safeguards and import whatever another country thinks qualifies as eggs. And that's ignoring eggs with bird flu. It's fully within his scope of inept decisions to enable DOGE to gut the FDA and expedite foreign eggs.

Good! Think of the money saved by not financing idiots who voted against their own interests. The nice thing about Trump is that he is determined to make fewer red state voters each time he is president. Whether it is downplaying the most dangerous plague of our times or taking the medical care from the people who didn't die - he's going to make sure there are fewer votes.
Because those of us who lean left and want to bring the fight to the spineless right are silenced on Lemmy unless these topics come up on servers that don't remove right wing rhetoric from the left. The problem is that the bulk of moderation understands that the right will talk the talk but rarely walk the walk so they get away with it. But when the left gets upset they only complain about procedure and all the laws that the right ignores so if violence comes up it gets silenced.
The venues are the problem. Having moderators like Jordan Lund helping the right by silencing the left is why. The world is unjust as a baseline. The left has to work so much against the current because they have to work against the right AND the neoliberal left.
Believe me, I wish the right would be scared of what kind of rhetoric they are engendering from their opponents but we simply aren't allowed without committing actual violence. And then the rhetoric becomes threats and silenced. That's why the right just trolls and makes spineless threats - they don't act on them so they get away with it.
Gavin Newsome wants to be the savior of the DNC and to ride the wave of anti-Trump sentiment to become a popular and beloved leader. But he's a monster with strangely close ties to the Trump family via his ex-wife Kimberly Guilfoyle, Don Jr.'s girlfriend.
Newsome can't be trusted and it's nice to see he's showing why by speaking his mind. He was shitty as a mayor and is reactionary as a governor.
