Lilly I'm so sorry this is happening and as a disabled woman, I get it. We're bottom of the ladder, and nobody cares. Feel free to lean on the sisterhood in !WomensStuff@lazysoci.al we really do get it... it's not much but its all I have to offer you.
You got a rough start mate and I'm really sorry you didn't get the loving childhood you deserved. You should never have suffered this, and you're starting on the back foot but held to the standards everyone else is. It's unfair, and it's ok to feel that.
I never got a childhood either, so I claim it now. Things like cuddly toys, fun snacks give it to me now. I also get parented in !dadforaminute@lemmy.world and in other ways, that helps.
It's a ludicrous decision. I really dislike seeing him praised, he potentially murdered someone and that's not ok. Nevertheless, people see him as a hero and now she's going to make that feeling more extreme.
I loooovveeeed Station Eleven it's one of my favourite post apocalyptic books. You have excellent taste!
I'm reading the Willow Falls trilogy atm. It's post apocalyptic and has some weeved narratives. It's on kindle unlimited and I'm absolutely gripped by them, best books I've read in years.
Other post apocalyptic book that's excellent is Lockdown the first couple are great. Sadly they go off the rails.
Oh and if you haven't already read it then Day of the Triffids is a classic and excellent.
Yes that's a valid point I'll edit my comment
